Old storyline; locked

Although Rangers were excellant trackers and could move much faster than horses could over a distance (not having to stop) even they couldn't keep up with Nero and they arrived far later than Nero at mirage lake.

Cibhi sighed.
"I doubt it.Am I living through this or are you killing me afterward?"He said."And why DO you need me anyway?If you just wanted to end the royal family you could have shoved me off the tower,or just left me alone,I wouldn't have went back..."

The rangers saw Nero heading into Mirage Lake with Cibhi, not far off in the distance. They approached the lake and arrived near Nero; tired,sore and breathing heavily.

"End the royal line? Ha! That would be bad indeed. I don't want to get rid of the line. What i'm doing is far bigger then that. And you aren't going to live...I'm going to be harvesting your blood."
Now Nero saw the rangers approaching. He looked out over the lake. Along the shore there should be a boat...
Aha! Found it.
"Get in this, boy. We're going to the center of the lake. There's a certain building there. Take some guesses while we wait for the boat to cross."
He turned to Aerul.
"Stay here; don't let anyone nearby, espescially not his friends."

Bandon held out his hand and Blaze got sucked into him, then Bandon felt a surge of power more so than what he could imagine and he got lifted into the air. Suddenly he dropped and fire sprouted out engulfing his arms in a thick blanket of fire, his armour turned white hot and he truly looked a menace when he turned to face the others he screamed because the process was soo painful. His legs then changed and he just looked like a walking forest fire. "C'mon Thunderlord! You want a piece of this!" He yelled through the crackling of his own skin.
Tulak used this opportunity to escape and he stabbed his sword into the thunderlords side and used his weight to drag it down. Bandon charged at thunderlord...

"Very well."Aerul said, he turned to the Rangers, "Set up camp, extra fortifications. Do it or the princes friends will find it easier to get to us." As Nero left, Aerul went to his second, "I don't trust him, he isn't the friend we thought he was. Watch out for him, he will most likely try and kill us. We can't get at him while he is ovr there but we should clear out if he comes back in a killing mood."

"Mirage Lake..."Cibhi said"Oh!This is the place only recently added to the map!Very few people have been here,we're one of the first..."He stopped when he remembered where he was."So...You don't want to end the royal line,but you do want to kill me,and we have to go to mirage lake to do so..."He thought"Mirage Lake...Isn't there a curse on this place?No-one who has came here has ever left..."

"Indeed. Anyone of the wrong blood attempting to enter would find themselves dead instantly. But i have the right blood, becasue I have you. Oh don't worry; nobody may die in this paticular building, but you will be losing so much blood that you'll die if you leave.2
Now a building came into view, hovering slightly above the water. The boat hit the stone side.
It was huge, and pillars and decorations covered it. On the front of the building above the huge doors were runes inscribed, saying;

"Can you guess what this is now, prince?" Said Nero, taking a knife. "And don't try to jump; I believe the waters here are lethal."

"What?You brought me to a temple of Empartheus,just to kill me?"Cibhi said"Are you some kind of religious zealot out to..."He stopped."Unless...No,it can't be...It doesn't exist...It can't..."

"Oh? Have you perhaps caught on?" Nero said, and then slashed the knife across Cibhi's arm, then flicking the blood onto the door.
It trickled down, and a little bit slid into a groove halfways done, when you might expect to find a keyhole.
And there the blood stopped. A soft light, that might not be noticed if you weren't paying attention, filled the groove, and then when it disappeared, the doors swung open.
"Excellent..." Nero said, hauling the boy to his feet and dragging him inside.

Bandon and the rest of the team has just finished beating the thunderlord. Bandon had just sent the final strike releasing all the power between them all. " Right! Lets go! We need to get that boy prince! Horse Rise!" And then the skeletal horse rose from the grave." C'mon! We must move!" And then he galloped off over to a place known as the Mirage Lake...

OOC: ****** you! I need more time, and rangers.

IC: The fortifications were lethal. 15 lines of stakes, lines of bushes inbetween each line, the bushes had fifteen inch thorns on and were called "Shrubs from hel". There were also pitfalls which were disguised, ditches inbetween the lines of bushes and the lines of stakes and there was a large wall in teh middle. Behind that wall was the rangers camp...

Cibhi placed his hand on his arm to stem the blood flow a bit.It was difficult,as his heart was beating rather fast.
"All this time...You haven't been planning on a war...that was just a distraction?"He guessed"What you were really after..."He gulped.
Inscribed upon the walls were pictures.One showed a rock,and then a giant man next to it.He pulled a crystal out of his pocket and a light shone from it,turning the rock into a planet.
"...The Crystal of Emparthus..."He said

"Yes..the crystal. Of course..." Nero said, pulling a torch off the wall and peering into the gloom. "That legend isn't quite true. There is indeed a crystal, but the legend never says what shape it is. I have discovered that it is, in fact, a chest. And that's what this key is for.." Nero pulled out the key from the ice palace.
"Now then...I'm sure you're a clever boy. What boxes or chests do you know from legend that might interest me?"
He continued down the passage, and silence was oppresive.

Bandon had the lake in sight but what he did'nt see was a ranger with a bow. The ranger fired and Bandon's horse tripped over forwards sending Bandon onto the floor. "Damn you all to hell! That was the worst mistake you have ever made!" Bandon snarled and he pulled out his chainblades, whirled them around above his head and sent them flying to the ranger's last position. He then continued and he fell into a pit just barely holding onto the edge. He managed to climb up and now he was furiuse.These guys will pay for this!

"...There was one.A childrens fairy tale.You were told there was a box where all the naughty people were locked up until they weren't naughty no more..."He looked up"But that can't be right,you wouldn't be after that.But..."He thought for a moment"There were variations in which instead of naughty people,it was their naughtyness..."

The ranger ducked, only just missing the spinning blades. All twelve rangers, including Aerul, fired arrows at Bandon, ducking then moving, firing again ducking then moving but did not stand up into veiw again.

"Hmm. How well put... As you say, their "Naughtyness." All the things that made people do wrong; evil, hatred, anger. That is what i am after. Because there is a far greater power in there as well." Nero spotted some doors, firmly locked. He smiled.
"Chaos." He blasted the doors open with magic, and sitting on a podium...
Was a crystal chest.

Bandon was getting hit by arrows from everywhere and decided to call out his elemental. "Yes Lord?" "Find and kill all rangers in the area. NOW!" The elemental dartet off and Bandon just narrowly missed a thorned bush. He saw one ranger getting ready to fire and he sent his blades forwards. He heard a satisfiable Scream and he continued searching. Just narrowly missing yet another arrow.

"Aerul, Goru has been injured. Oh and there is an elemental going for Yurok." A ranger yelled, jumping up, firing and arrow, ducking and moving. "Eruk, Manu, grab Goru and pull him back. Retunai use the binding amulet on that blasted elemental." Aerul yelled, aiming and releasing two arrows at once at Bandon. The Rangers continued to duck and move. Retunai bound the Elemental so it couldn't do anything not even answer summons or return to its master until it was released, not even death could release the elemental from the amulet. Teh rangers continued to shoot at Bandon...

"It's...Beautiful..."Cibhi said.He then had an idea."So...what now?"He turned to Nero"Surely you can't just be doing this 'cause you feel like it...Why do you wish to unleash the chaos?I mean,you've already started the war,chaos won't do much else..."

Bandon got hit in the arm by one arrow and another right where his heart used to be. "YAARRGGGHHHH" Bandon screamed in a barbaric fury and started to run, he hurdled an entire log palisade without trying, his cape flowing in the wind. He spun round and cleaved an arrow straight in half. Then he threw his sword to where the arrow came from, hearing another scream and then something dropping to the floor.

"Ah, but Chaos is controlled by whoever releases it. Which, trust me boy, won't be you."
He readied the key, and walked over to the chest.

Cibhi muttered something under his breath,and a small fire elemental appeared next to him.He was about to speak when Cibhi put his finger to his lips and pointed at Nero.Blaze nodded,and crept forward,before jumping at Nero,his body alight,screaming in an unearthly tone while Cibhi cast a spell to block the door with magic.

"Aerul, Manu just broke his bow. that sword went straight through it and angry guy is only past the first stake line." Another Ranger called. The remaining ten rangers and Aerul continued their barrage of arrows on Bandon...
