Old storyline; locked

Airien's boundary broke, with a snap. Her eyes opened and widened. "No..." She said, turned and leapt over the edge in a graceful motion, saber in hand. She fell, approaching where Optimarus was, she reached out and grabbed the ledge. Almost letting go as her body dropped all its wait on her hand. She reached down with the saber and sliced viciously at Hawke's elbows, she was still controlled about her attack, it was hard and strong yet controlled and carefully directed, the balde would move if Hawke attempted to dodge, move back towards Hawke.

Toro had almost had no damage what so ever. The beam had hit Koroa's wing, probably killing her, but instead...nothing.
Nothing happened. The wing damged but not much, only a bit scratched and burnt.
Toro realised something his uncle said ages ago.
"If you attack a dragons wing, it will only be damgaged lightly. Parilizing a dragons wing is almost impossible. You would need something unatural, like something not from Grennendia at all."
But that ment, that even if a tiny part of the meteor hit Koroa, she would die...

As the sword approached, Hawke quickly spoke a short word, and the attack did nothing, except to cause Hawke to rock back slightly, which then grew more and more pronounced as he gained momentum, and suddenly Optimarus found his grip loosening as the weight on his legs moved faster and began to pull him down. Then he saw something more horrifying then he had seen in a very long time.
A crack in the ledge.
A crack around where his fingers still held on. It grew and....
He fell.
They both fell, down a rare stretch of mountain that went nearly directly down. As they fell, each tried to take the other with them. Optimarus made a mistake.
He struck Hawke with a blast of energy, which in fact moved Hawke firther away and suddenly he grabbed a nearby rock, and pulled himself up.
Optimarus looked in horror at the rapidly approaching ground. He briefly wondered if it all had been worth-

Hawke looked at where Optimarus had fallen, only to see that a mini-avalanche had covered the spot. In a way, he was glad. He had expected to feel enthused, happy that the evil was fianlly gone. But he felt empty.
He began the walk to where Selena still lay unconcious in the boat, and decided that he wouldn't wait for the others. He would go back to Tralenia, and perhaps leave the main city and live in the forest itself.
Anything for a bit of peace.

Airien hung there. She hung there oblivious to the world around her. She felt something lift from her mind, she felt her mind become free, and she realised what she had become, what she had tried to do. Airien hung there...

Shadowstep stood there feeling a bit upset, he let someone else kill his mark and he did not like it. He walked off to the side of the cliff and scaled down it. He looked around for The Golden Mask. He wanted to take his head and sword as trophies. He searched and he found a tooth. He took it and walked over to his horse and galloped off...

OOC: Just as a note, the Apparatus is still running, and the meteor is still heading towards Grennendia.

Toro had never been so surprised in his life. ( ) The Golden mask. Optimarus. Dead.
A happy moment in history? But even the most horrible person in the history of Grennendia, Toro felt a tiny bit of pity. He could see that he was starting to become less inhuman. And it happened all so sudden. He didn't know what to do.

Cibhi clambered onto the plateu,and saw the meteor in the sky.He ran over to the controls to find them smashed.
"Damn the idiot who did that."He muttered.Inside there were plenty of cogs and gears,but he didn't know what did what.He probably wouldn't of if the controls had still been there,as Optimarus wouldn't have needed labels.He hit the console,and surprisingly saw the light around the Apparatus dim.He looked around the apparatus,and saw it slowly turning,directing the meteor towards Grennendia.If he could re-direct it,or stop it moving...
"Anyone!"He shouted"Anyone have anything that can jam gears!"
"Verraidor's staff!"Shouted Heiwa,jsut over the edge of the Arena."I'll go get it!"
Hurry...Thought CibhiWe don't have long...

Airien hung there, watching the meteor approaching Grenendia. "So, I have mistakenly furthered his own gains. He is dead, but his plan is not." She said, watching it slowly approach and grow larger

Izath watched the meteor falling. "I wonder what would happen to it if we all focused out magical abilties at it....." the Elemental said. Salvanar laughed. "Half the people here don't wield magic." The elemental held himself in thought.

"That would be hard..." Toro said, looking at the meteor becoming massive as it came closer. "That could work though...but we act now. Not just stand around thinking."

Heiwa clambered back onto the plateau and threw the staff to Cibhi,who caught it and jammed it into the gears of the Apparatus.For a few seconds the gears shuddered,then the staff broke.Cibhi swore.He put his hands into the cogs,and focused all his energy into balls of fire around the cogs.
"Work..."He said"Work..."

OOC: This can be changed if someone had something better.

Koroa could see Chibi, the meteor, the ice melting rapidly it was so close. Sacrifices had to be made at times. This was one of these times.

About 30 seconds later, a swarm of huge snake-like bullets rampaged across the clouds. About 1000 of these creatures all alined and all aiming for one thing...
Toro could see what Koroa was doing. "NO! Please! I BEG YOU!"
Finnaly, for the first, and possibly last time, Koroa spoke human. "I'm so..ry" Koroa stuttered. "Bu..bu.t sacrifices have to be made.." And with that, a broken-hearted Toro left alone. To gaze at the genicide being made.



Koroa felt sad for Toro, and for herself. "We had been loyal, had fun together." She thought. "We saved each others lives countless times." Koroa started to cry. A dragon usally never cries.
Energy. It was all you could feel. A light blue charge, warped into one, heading for one. The meteor, almost here. Just a few seconds, and it would be gone. Grennendia saved. But we would be gone.



Toro looked. An exploision of colours and energy, all turning into flames, moltent rock from unknown. Screeches and screams from above and below. Grennendia was saved...
but Koroa was gone...

Hawke pushed off from the island, and began to row back to the mainland. Selena remained unconcious.
He sighed. Why did he always get involved with evil plots?

Airien hung there watching the meteor explode, it shattered into hundreds of tiny fragments that burned up. "A little help here please..." She called up to the observatory, in a half-heaterd voice.

Shadowstep was galloping along when he felt a sharp pain in his head. So sharp that he fell off the horse gripping his head in agony. "You will not abandon my allies like this... But first, while you are heading this way. I would like you to dig up my corpse and take it to the fortress, there an old freind awaits with a ship to take me to Voi. Now do as you have been told." He got up and onto the horse. He hoped that if he did this, Bandon would leave him be.
He galloped to the graveyard and took the gravekeeper's shovel and started to dig. The grave guard ran up to him and attacked. "No! Do not rob the graves!" He shouted at Shadowstep. He knocked the guard out and continued digging...

Cibhi looked and watched the meteor explode.While everyone was still in awe,he walked down the mountain with Heiwa following.
"Your home should be safe now."Cibhi said"You can go back."
"Hey,I'd rather go around killing evil guys that stuck in an old fortress.Let me go with you!"
"Same here..."Cibhi sighed"Same here."

Selena stirred, and suddenly jerked upright.
"Wah..Optimarus! Is he-" Hawke calmed her.
"Optimarus is dead. The meteor is destroyed. It's all fixed." He said. She nodded happily, then fell asleep, exhausted for some reason.

Airien hung there, her grip slowly coming off the rock, her other hand was to weak to hold her. "I guess I shall just fall to my death then, no one cares about... urgh..."Airien stopped suddenly as a strange feeling passed through her...

Toro without any emotions except sadness pulled Airien back up to the obsevertory. He was speechless, didn't say anything. Just stared up to the blankness were the meteor got destroyed.

Shadowstep finished and looked into the dark hole. In the bottom was a large mahogany coffin with glowing jewels embedded in it. He lifted the heavy lid up and he saw Bandon and he almost threw up when he saw the corpse. He jumped down and lifted the heavy body onto the ledge and a white ghost flew around him. "Quick get my body back to the fortress! It won't last long!" He carried the body off into the darkness away from the grave. This ship had better be there. Shadowstep said to himself." You better help my friends, mortal otherwise I shall come back and kill you." The ghost said...

Airien moved away from the rest and left the top of the mountain she headed downwards into the fortress, soldiers had left the guardsmen of the Third Empire were dead, killed by swords of Corbep by the looks of it. She found her fathers retinue outside, and found something that shocked her, her father had killed himself, thrown himself from the tower. Airien left just holding back the flood of tears, she left with her fathers retinue to return to Travui...

My Farther...dead.
My mother...dead.
My uncle...dead.
My uncle's dragon...dead.
My dragon...dead.
He felt worse than ever before. Wished he was one who sacrificed his life. But instead, witnesses them all killing themselves to save Grennendia..
He now had nobody.

This storyline is locked, making another to stop this one getting too cluttered.
Won't be too long, just while a bit of administration is done.
