Old storyline; locked

Tulak was flying to the capital and he could see what a mess it was. Fire was everywhere and he could see the bodies of countless people. He swooped down but a ballista saw him and started to fire at him. He dodged the spikes but then, he got hit. It ripped his mound's wing right off and it started to fall. Fortunatly it was able to slow down the decent and they crashed with minor injuries. They were outside the walls of the city and Tulak went inside. Blood and bodies were everywhere and the sight disgusted him. He made his way to the palace...

Izath smiled. "Blazestorm is a fire elemental, one of the most furious elemental types alive. You're more than safe with him around. The Firelord decrees it."

Izath stopped.

"He's here. And he's brought friends...."

"What? Who's here?" Asked Hawke imeediately, "Nero? Or the Thunderlord?"

Tulak started to run to the palace and what he saw shocked him. Bandon was helping the prince? And the adventurers he saved from the ice golem! He walked up to them and shouted "Hello all! I am back and is willing to help but what the hell is that monster doing here?!" He pointed to Bandon and he turned to look at Tulak. "Leave your quarrels intil later, we have a job to do." Bandon snarled aggressively.

Izath suddenly became agitated. "The Thunderlord comes! the Thunder-" Suddenly he was blown over by a stormfront. "IS HERE!" A voice bellowed. Suddenly a tremendous storm creature brewed, blotting out the daylight with a dark, evil haze. "And with my presence, the end of the world doth come....."

He appeared fully, tremendous arms destroying nearby buildings. "Salvanar, it is time for you to join Bandon, in everlasting undeath...." He roared. "As for the rest of you....you can all just die...."

The Rangers silently followed the group, waiting for the opportunity to strike and capture Cibhi. The group however did have elementals, which would seriously confuse things. Aerul held an almost silent meeting with the others and they decided that they should send word to Nero for help when the time came. Now however they would simply track Cibhi, like the Patient Hunter (OOC: Tau reference. Anyone guess what it is in Tau?). They would follow Cibhi eternally, if that was necessary, very little would shake them off and even more would be needed to discover them if they wished to remain unseen. The Elementals seriously confused the issue though...

Bandon got ready to fight a nuisense what was the thunderlord and he shouted to Tulak "Listen fool! There will be time to argue later! Just help us destroy this overcharged electron!" Tulak complied with his wishes and together they charged at thunderlord. Bandon's elemental was helping with the fighting, but very little. This thing is too powerful. It blasted Tulak back and belted Bandon with his arm sending both flying...

Nero watched the storm over the horizon, in the direction of Haleinis. That was good; it was a big storm, and Nero wanted no harm to come to the prince. If only he hadn't assasinated the king before he realised he needed the royal blood of Corbep.
He decided that he might have to intervene himself; Nero still didn't entirely trust Aerul. He called his Wyvern, and began to fly as fast as he could.

Cibhi ran inwards,through the castle.There was one place that was safe,always safe...
The elemental was powerful,it was unlikely he or anyone else would kill it.
He soon reached the room he was looking for.It was his own room,still untouched after two years of absence.For a few moments he stopped,memories flooding through him.He was awoken by Blazestorm.
"Masster?Are you okay?"He said.Cibhi shook his head,and ran over to the closet by the wall.He opened it,closed it,muttered a few words and opened it again.What had originally been the back of the closet was now a hole,and through that hole he saw the top of the tallest tower in the castle.He stepped out,and surveyed the area.
Everything had gone wrong.Most of the castle was in ruins,many buildings near it were burned down,bodies filled the streets-obviously people who had opposed the council-,and people were running in all directions from the capital,from the great electrical beast that had appeared.And there,on the horizon,he saw what could only be a Wyvern flying in his direction.He gulped.
"Blaze."He said"I want you to hide.If I am attacked,or my life seems in danger,help.If you can do nothing,I want you to go back and help the others.Do you understand?"
"Yess master..."Blaze replied,and vanished.Cibhi stood,fierce determination in his eyes.
"Bring it..."He muttered.

Nero saw the child standing on the tower. He couldn't see the rangers though. Either they were incompetent, or so good that even Nero couldn't spot them.
He smiled. The boy was just standing there.
"Come now, princeling. Come with me willingly, and it will hurt considerably less then if you oppose me." He said, edging his wyvern closer.

OOC: It's either Mont'Ka or Kauyon. I think it's Kauyon.

I believe Mont'Ka is the Killing Blow.

So yeah, Kauyon.

Izath saw the megalith standing before them. "There is only one way to defeat the Thunderlord. We must find Blazestorm and ask him to call forth the blessing of the Firelord. With it, we can destroy him with the wrath of fire. You cannot fight lightning with lightning, but the Firelord can, and has, defeated the Thunderlord Before."

He looked at Bandon. But first, we need a vessel for his power. He pojnted at Bandon. "You want revenge, yes?" He smiled. "If you had all the powers of the firelord, how inventive can you be in toturing him?"

"Um...I'm going to stand back" Toro said, realising that something big was going to happen.

The Rangers which Nero had neglected to notice were already inside the castle, following the prince as their orders told them. They entered the tower room where Cibhi wwas standing, some had their bows already drawn, Aerul went forward with two other rangers. They had their swords out. "Step down, my lord, or we will hurt you, alot."Aerul told the prince, standing still.

Nero smiled. "Well done, Aerul. Bring him closer to my Wyvern..." Nero said.
Finally, this irritating boy was finally in his power. And a certain building had just been located...
It was all coming together now.

"As you wish, my lord." Aerul replied to Nero, then he turned to Cibhi. "Well, are you going to go with my Lord here, your highness?" Aerul asked Cibhi in a mocking voice, "Or will you play the hero, get hurt and go anyway?" Aerul put away his sword and advanced slowly, dagger in hand.

"Blaze..."Cibhi said,walking regretfully with the rangers.Hidden,Blaze nodded.He ran,back through the castle and into the courtyard.He appeared before the others.
"Masster has ssent me to do your biddingss..."He said."What iss it you require?"
Back on the tower,Cibhi sighed.
"Why do you need me alive anyway?If you want to start a war,you could just kill me now,I don't see any need in me living."

The Rangers tied Cibhi, uncerimoniously onto Nero's Wyvern, then started to leave. "My Lord, what do you require of us now?" Aerul asked Nero

"Blaze! Good timing! We need you to implant the spirit of the firelord into Bandon! He is the vessel from which we will destroy thunderlord!" Izath yelled.

Thunderlord tried to close his hands around Blazestorm, in an attempt to destroy him.

Izath held back an arm. "Stop him!"

Toro hadn't a clue what was going on, and was standing well back, hiding from Nero and the Rangers.

Bandon replied in a quite cheerie tone "I have countless ways to torture, it is in my nature but for now, lets stop him from getting Blaze!" He lifted himself up and charged up to the thunderlord only to get sent head over heels again. Tulak ran and jumped onto Blaze. He held on tightly as the thunderlord had lifted them up well over 50 feet in the air. "Bandon! Catch!" And with that Tulak threw Blaze away from the thunderlord. Bandon just was able to catch him but the force sent him over. "Damn! I am growing soft!" Bandon yelled with daemonic fury and readied himself to capture the thunderlord once and for all...

"Um......" Toro gawped at the battle. He thought that he wouldn't like to be attacked like Bandon. And those rangers and Nero were here also, what more could happen today!?

Nero smiled at the boy now tied to his wyvern.
"Good job; now...head to to mirage lake, in the northern desert with all due haste." With this he flew off to the lake himself.
Nero stopped himself getting too excited. His time was almost here. But not yet. Soon...soon.

"Very well my Lord. We will move swiftly and remove all who bar our path." Aerul replied to Nero as he left. Aerul turned and sprinted down the tower, ignoring the hiding Toro. Aerul left the palace with the rangers, they left by teh closest gate, bypassing the fight and started to head North, as they had been told to do. They now had a sense of elation at the fact they were achieving something that was actually worth something.

Cibhi didn't struggle.Even if he did get free he had a 200ft drop beneath him.He wouldn't live. He sighed.
"So,why are you doing this?"He said."It can't just be for your own amusement. Surely there's a reason, a reason for war,death,pain..."He paused"And who exactly ARE you?You don't look like a citizen of Corbep or Ao Seruld..."

Back at the palace Blaze opened his mind and shut his body.He muttered a few words and then looked at Bandon.
"I am at your command."He said in a voice deeper than usual,with an echo that shook souls.

Nero was surprised. Few people ever asked him about himself.
"Well...to why I am doing this...Perhaps you wouldn't understand. But look at all the people down there; see how small they are. How small everybodies life is, and how big it could be if they only tried! That would be worse then death. If you die, and nobody remembers you...who's to say you even existed?" At this Nero fell silent. It had been one of the rare times when genuine emotion had entered his voice.
"And...who am I? Good question. I don't know of my parentage; I could be half demon, half god for all I know. I was taken in by a a couple when I was very young. They had a child of their own. I believe you know him rather well." Nero said, smiling.
"But as I grew older, I realised how pathetic and ignorant people were. No, not what they were; what they made themselves. I disappeared for a while...I found others. We formed together. And i returned, and killed the people who raised me. What fools they were...but their child now, I left him alive."
And then mirage lake came into sight.
"Ah...here we are, my little princeling." Nero said, getting down off the wyvern and take cibhi off it as well, but making sure to keep him bound.
"I am very grateful to the thunderlord for that little distraction; I rather doubt your frineds will be able to arrive in time now."
