Old storyline; locked

Vehirroth unleashed a terrifying volley of ice into the attackers before fleeing towards the ice castle.

"That should give them something to think about." He said viciously.

Before they flew off Bandon suddenly spoke up. "Wait! Let me off! I want to teach them a thing or two about pain! I'll show them to fire at a prince!" And with that Bandon jumped onto the back of his elemental and flew down to the ground. When he landed he pulled out his boomerang blades and threw them at the guards and at the same time he drew his sword and charged. These guys will know pain now...

Vehirroth turned around. "I'm sorry, I can flee when shown lightning, and I'll run if ordered. But I'm NOT letting this guy have all the fun!" He dropped off his cargo and charged headlong into the fight with Bandon. Salvanar shrugged. "I guess that settles it. Let's go kill some traitors."

Hawke scowled. This was not what he had planned. Oh,well.
"Damn you all to hell," He muttered, before charging into the melee with his two knives bared.

Aerul had waited for this moment for a while now. He strode into the Ao Seruld council chamber, right up to Nero. "I wish to serve you, help you in your mission. I control a small contingent of Rangers. We are yours to command." Aerul told him, hoping that their offer might be accepted. Few Rangers now remained in the wild, shunned by people who had little knowledge of things beyond their village, town or city. Those that had opposed Aeruls movement to work to get their own place in society had all been removed by the loyalists. All Aerul had had to do was say one word and the Rangers went up in flames about it.

"Ok, this looks like too much fun!" Toro said, then jumped up high, really high, and then dived down, sword out-reached, in the mood to kill...
It was more like a meteor that hit Ryo. The sword went straight through his head and split him in half, then a small explosion of fire almost vapourized some nearby's feet. Toro was having so much fun, but wasn't aware of the death he had caused.
And when it came to an end, he still didn't see him...

Nero looked at the ranger.
"Why should you suddenly decide to help me? What makes you think I need helping?" Nero asked. Though in truth, he was tempted to accept the offer. Rangers were excellent trackers and often superb at finding things; skills he needed.
Nero thought about it for a while, and said finally;
"Very well. Help me do this thing, and you may join me and...ah...well, you may join me. I need you to find a child. He will likely be headed for Corbep; find him, and bring him to me. His name is Cibhi. And if he dies, or a single drop of blood is spilled then so help me you won't have enough body mass left to fill a bowl. Understand?"

"Very well. As for our reason for joining you, we see something coming that is all..." Aerul told him, turning then left.

Izath went into the fray. "Stop fighting, your future king commands it!" He battered them with lightning bolts. "I am Izath the Executor, and my name heralds the fate of all who oppose me!" He ripped apart the firmament of the skies with a terrifying roar of electrical energy.

Salvanar was doing the same. His staff was unsheathed, and he spun it around him in a deadly fashion, turning him into a makeshift buzz-saw. Izath saw this and electrified his staff. Now he was an electrified ball of death! In the mean time, Izath's anger only made him more powerful.

Then they stopped fighting. Salvanar and Izath ran to the back of the battle. "If we combine the two lightning symbols, we can cause utter devastation." Izath said, pointing to Salvanar's tattoo. He smiled, and salvanar held the elemental's hand.They charged their Electric powers until they could take no more, and Izath suddenly darted forwards. "CATACLYSM!" he yelled as he transformed into a living storm. His body became so tremendously charged with lightning that he was overloading with energy, causing shockwaves that hurt friend and foe alike. When the cataclysm died down, only a few enemies were left, but Salvanar and Izath were too weak to finish them.

Bandon was having too much fun to notice anything going on around him. He had allready butchered 50 guards alone and he has lost his sword. He threw it into a group of guards cleaving them in half. Then as he turned around his eyes unleashed a demonic gave apon the guards completely immobilising them out of fear. He killed them all and stormed into the guards barracks. Many more waited to join the fray. What is this?! An army?!

Hawke walked over to some bodies, and pulled his knives out.
"I don't see why that was necessary. They were only doing what they were told to; you can't really blame them."
He looked around. People were fleeing. More guards were approaching.
"Well, while in Haleinis. Shall we head to the court of the king? We'd better be quick about it, we don't seem to be very popular."

"No, we should go to the ice castle like Verhirroth said" Toro then looked around for Ryo, then saw him, lying dead on the floor. He looked in terror, and ran towards him. He didn't know it was his own fault, and wasn't going to be convinced, but he felt so sad, like anyone would if there own family died. He now had nobody to go to, be looked after....
He wouldn't leave Ryo's side, and cried, begging for him to be alive.
But he knew he was dead.

Izath looked upon the dead body of Ryo. "Is it possible that the cataclysm finished him off?" Izath looked at Salvanar. "Sometimes the greatest act of salvation is also the only act that kills." Salvanar nodded. the Cataclysm Strike was costly.

Vehirroth flew down. "There is no time for the ice castle. There is only one course of action, the king's hall. We must make haste, I emplore you!"

Vehirroth flew to the destination. Salvanar stayed there with toro and Ryo. Izath urged the remaining heroes onwards.

Bandon walked back to the main battlefield and saw Ryo crying next to a dead man. He took a long look at the poor boy and then went and talked with Hawke "You should have kept the others with you. It was not my intention to kill them all, but that changed. Come, we must go to the palace." Bandon walked over to Ryo and kneeled next to him and tried his best to comfort him. "C'mon we must go, boy. I will try and bring him back after this is over, but intil then, we need you to keep focused. Come." He then walked to the palace without saying a word...

Toro started to stop weeping, but this made him sadder. He knew that this time was a time of war, and deaths will happen, but he also knew that he'd had to go on. He took on last look at his Uncle, and then turned away...
"He'd be in a better place.." Toro thought, and just stopped himself from crying again.

Salvanar took his staff and blessed the body with the spirits of lightning. Izath himself chanted in elemental, before moving on.

"People here will suffer from this cataclysm, but Nero will suffer more." Izath suddenly got darker and darker. "He will suffer the agonies of a thousand lost souls. Their cries will tear him apart!"

Tulak has been in that dark room for days and is growing tired. He lifted himself up and went over to the door and looked through the gap. Outside was 3 skeletal guards and so Tulak scoped his room out even more. He searched for ages and found a small gap in the wall. He could just fit through it and with enough force he got through. Now he had to search the fortress for his weapons and avoid the rest of the guards...

Aerul returned to teh waiting rangers. They had brought very little, using their skills in teh wild to gain food and water. "Take only what we need. Leave all else behind. Nero has accepted our offer, our time has come. When the new order is formed, we will be in it, not outcasts like we have always been. We hunt down the heir of Corbep. We bring him to Nero, unspoilt for he is needed to bring about the rise of the new order. This is his description. Remember it for we must find him." Aerul told the excited Rangers, then proceding to describe the prince of Corbep. That day, the rangers went forth moving quickly and with skill.

Cibhi was watching in awe,and horror.These were his people,they had turned against him...but was it right to kill them? They were only mislead,it's not like they thought of the idea themselves...
And Ryo,the poor man,killed in the heat of battle by his own side...Cibhi had seen it.
"Why did we have to kill them?"He called from atop one of the walls where he had been dodging arrows"Surely we could have spared them,reasoned with them?"

"No.." Hawke said, starting to move towards the palace, "It couldn't have been avoided. Their orders were to kill; it was run, or fight back. Come on, Cibhi, you must reclaim you're empire."
Hawke looked at the horizon, and wondered just what Nero's plan was; making a war, or influencing the Corbep Council seemed to unreliable. Nero didn't take risks. So, by that train of thought, Nero had...another plan. A better plan.
This was not a comforting thought.
"Come on, let's go!" He called to the others.

Izath suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. Salvanar saw him, contorting and twitching.

Izath turned to Bandon and pointed at him. "Here's your chance, Bandon. End the Thunderlord's tyrannical reign."

Iath shouted to all that would hear. "People of Corbep! Your real enemy is coming! The thunderlord is approaching, and with him are the chances of the 8th extinction! We must unite to defeat him, or we will be some of the victims of this next mass extinction! What say you, defenders of Corbep?"

Izath looked into the horizon. "We don't have long."

Toro walked on. He had not known that he'd killed Ryo. If he did then that would be almost suicidal to him. He stopped himself from crying again...he didn't like crying.
He looked at the huge structure in front of him. The palace...a sight for anyone to gawp at. Stone pillars with faces carved in it and famous peoples names in it...it was amazing, cheered Toro up a bit.
Then he heard Izath. He turned around, and almost fainted of what he had to do next...

Bandon had started trembleing with exitement when he heared what Izath said and he summoned his elemental to get ready. "C'mon, the sooner this fool is dead the better! I will rip him apart with my own hands!" Bandon then laughed maniacally and got his axe out.
Tulak had searched the entire fortressfor hours without any luck. Then he stumbled across the armoury. "So there must be a God after all." Tulak said to himself. He wasted no time getting his gear and then he recieved a vision. It was the boy and with him was Bandon! "Damn! I have got to go there and fast!" Just as he was leaving he found one of Bandon's steeds, this one was like a pegasus exept it was just bone and rotten flesh. He quickly got on and started on his way to the prince...

The Rangers were moving swiftly. Although, to Aerul, something was moving them far faster than they should be moving, something was picking them up and dropping them far down their route. Something with immense power. What should have taken weeks for even the most skilled Ranger took only a few days. (OOC: I have been catching up on time I missed) Then, the capital of Corbep was insight, and in turmoil it seemed, flames were all over, the clouds had been torn asunder and the sky crackled with raw energy. Aerul and his rangers moved swiftly, climbing up the walls and onto teh battlements, by a tower. Aerul saw Cibhi, motioned for the rangers to get low and be careful, then they crept forward, ready to kill and capture.

Cibhi dropped down from the wall,unaware of the danger behind him.He followed halk,contemplating.
"Hawke...What happens...If we fail?"He said"Y'know,if we can't get me back on the throne,or something....I've never actually felt in this much danger..."He looked around."Is it okay if...if Blazestorm.."At the mention of his name he appeared."If Blazestorm comes with me,is it okay if I go look around,get some things?"
