Old storyline; locked

Bandon was confused. How could something be kind to a monster such as he? He was starting to have feelings once again. "Wait, what makes you think that I will betray you? You have just given me a Elemental that I had wanted for many, many years. I suppose that this means that I owe you something?" Bandon tried out this new spell and with a snap of his fingers a bright yellow, blue and white creature formed in front of him. It looked like a partly like a fox and part eagle but with no legs. It was a bright beacon of joy for him and for once he felt... Happy.
"Ok, fine. I promise to repent, but not forever."

Izath the Executor saw his immediate change. "Then I shall assist you. Our storms will tear apart your foes."

Izath was ready to follow bandon.

Cibhi was stunned.So mutch had happened in so little time.
"Where...are we?"He said"I...don't recognise this place.Are we still in Grennendia?"He looked at the word written on his palm.
"Blazestorm..."He muttered,and a small beast made of fire appeared before him.
"Yessss?"It said to him.

Xu wandered about the town of Selenis for a while, still trying to find out where everyone has gone. He decides to take a small ship home, to the Isle of Selenis. When he gets there, he decides to look into the eternal waters once more. They reveal that the people of Selenis are on a search for a young boy, who's name could not be found at this time. All that the water tells him is that he is the lost Prince of Corbep...

"So.." Hawke said, slightly bewildered by the strange symbols and repenting and elementals.
"Where are we going? I think that we ought to try and reinstate Cibhi as the King of Corbep; that ought to stop all these raids and tension between empires."
Hawke looked at the group. "What do you think?" He asked.

Izath looked at him. "That would be good. We should focus on that." He turned. "My master comes." Behind, coming down the tunnel, was salvanar. "We now have a powerful group, we can probably accomplish this task." Izath concluded.

What Xu could not determine was whether the people wanted to harm him or help him. The last he had heard of a young boy being important was in the dwarven Town Minduir, but then he teleported away...

Looking into the waters for a second time, he saw a hundred spirits surrounding a short man. It was the same man who was in the inn at Minduir!!

Xu then knew that this man was important. He set off on a journey to track him down...

Nero Sat, thinking. The Prince should be taken care of soon enough; with the whole of Corbep after him, it shouldn't be too difficult.
Time to advance with the plan.
He flew north; to Ralvas.

"Wait a minute." Toro suddenly realised. "Your the prince of Corbep!?" He looked at Chibi.

"Wow, you are as quick as lightning you are!" Said Bandon in a sarcastic manner and then he added. "So, where are we going now then? Standing here is like rotting in a grave." Bandon was most displeased, he had just repented his cruel ways for the time being and is now sheperding a young heir to the throne. What is next? A ancient dragon marches across the land again?

All of a sudden Salvanar whistles in the air, and Vehirroth the Ice Wyrm, from ancient legend, flew down. "Vehirroth's also helpoing us with a quick ride, should we need one." Salvanar smiled.

Izath looked nonplussed. "I can move faster than that." He said bluntly.

"Maybe so," Said Hawke, "But we can't. Wyrm Airlines it is." He said, attempting to clamber up onto the Wyrms back.

Cibhi was amazed.
"But...aren't...Wyrm...childrens fairy tales?"He stuttered."Plus...how on earth did you tame one?Aren't they meant to be vicously vicous?"He attempted to climb aboard anyway.Everything was going from wierd to wierder.
"Oh,Blaze?"Cibhi said"I don't think an ice wyrm would like having a fire elemental on it's back,is there anything..?"
"Yeess master.I shall go back to the elemental plane,and await your call."He said,and vanished in a puff of smoke.

Salvanar got the reigns of the Wyrm, and picked up Izath. "If we run into trouble, Izath will churn the skies into storm. Lightning bolts make a great defensive barrier!"

Salvanar then took the reigns and pulled hard, sending the drake into the air. "Where to?" Vahirroth asked.

"We need to go to Haleinis. There, Cibhi can take his place as king, and we can find and defeat.." Hawke stopped, engrossed in memories. Bad memories, spefically; he knew Nero well.
"Anyway; Haleinis!" Hawke repeated suddenly.

"We're going on a Wrym..." Toro said. "What more is going to happen today!?"
Little did he know that a lot was the answer...

Vehirroth roared, shaking the mountains and shattering stones. Then, in a burst of speed, he shot off towards Halenis. Vehirroth called to his entourage. "Expect trouble the minute we get there. Chances are they'll try everything to stop us. We cannot allow this."

"Rubbish, why should anyone in Corbep try to stop us? They'd rejoice once they see their king. And as for Nero..." Hawke fingered his daggers.

Vehirroth looked very solemn. "You do not know them as I do. They are easily lead, and I believe that if Nero managed to get to corbep, he could also manage to control the minds and hearts of every corbepian!" He thought about this for a moment. "Maybe Nero wants to rule Corbep...."

Hawke laughed mirthlessly.
"No. Nero wouldn't try to rule Corbep; He'd aim for the world. In fact he wouldn't even try that, he'd just blow it all up. Trust me, Nero's a nasty piece of work."
Haleinis was in sight now; that wyrm was fast, thought Hawke.

"Haleinis Ho!" Shouted the wyrm. Salvanar looked at the beautiful city below them. "It is time, young prince. Fulfil your duty." Izath nodded at cibhi respectfully. The party got ready to enthrone the real prince.

"Why would nero want to do that anyway? I mean, he's feared and hated in some places already. Besides, isn't corbep ruled by Lorians?" They were almost at ground, a group of people saw us, some spotting Chibi, and then they started shouting at us...this could mean nothing good...

Hawke ducked as an arrow flew out of nowhere. There were guards everywhere, and all armed.
"Damn! Nero got here first. Let's hope he isn't still here. Are we gonna run?" Hawke asked.


Nero had arrived in Ralvas.
He walked into the Government of Ao Seruld as various politicians arugued. Nero had not quite as much influence here as in Corbep; but he had enough.
Everyone looked towards him, except for one person who continued to talk before he found he found his voicebox suddenly hurt too much to speak.
Nero looked around, and spoke loudly.
"Disturbing news has come to my attention, good men. Doubtless you know of these raids on poor Ao Seruld traders, and of the assasination of the King of Corbep?"
He saw various heads around the room bob nervously.
"Well...my intelligence in the council has revealed a plot. It seems, evil as it is..the Corbep murdered their own king!"
At this people around the room exploded out of their seats, shouting and arguing. At Nero's voice, though, they fell silent once more.
"This was so they had an excuse to attack the empire of Ao Seruld, by blaming the atrocity on you! Surely, this cannot go unpunished! Their craving for war and power has gone on too long!"
Everyone in the room cheered in agreement. And this is testimony to human nature; despite what they knew about Nero, and what they knew as commen sense, they never doubted his word. Because it was convenient, and suited them fine, and was exactly what they wanted to hear.
"So, good men; we must declare war, and be rid of these villains at once!"
And everyone agreed. The letters were signed, and sent.
War had been declared. and in the center of it sat Nero, smiling contentedly.

Vehirroth looked at them. "Time to plan this out. We will hide at the ice castle and consider our moves, yes?"

"Fine, whatever, as long as there isnt people shooting at us!" Hawke shouted, evading more arrows. He'd never be the same again after this ordeal, god knew.
