Old storyline; locked

Bandon walked up the stairs to where Salvanar was standing and he said: "And so he did the same thing to you, what he did to me. What luck. You better not take residence on my island. And where the hell is my horse!? I have to go talk with Tulak." And then Bandon laughted in a very evil and demonic fashion. " Good bye, fools." and with that, he climbed onto his undead horse and charged straight through the inn's wall...

Cibhi swallowed.
"And...why are they after me?"He said"I haven't done anything exceptionally wrong,I stole a bit,but it's not like I went and burnt down the royal castle..."He turned to Hawke"And you?Why are you helping me?I am no-one to you,I don't mean anything!"

"Why am i helping you?" Hawke said, thoughtfully. "I'm...not sure. But...you remind me of me, when I was a child. I had no choice- I had to go down the path of crime. But perhaps you have a chance. And as for why they chase you..I don't know."
Havar interupted here. "Can i ask...did your'e parents pass anything on to, as an heirloom? It may be you have something of value."

Salvanar sat down with his new minion. "Why....why is bandon so...hateful? He saw me, an apprentice of Lightning, and planned to kill me!? But yet, he almost sounded like he wanted to save me....." The Thunder elemental remained silent. Salvanar saw this. "You know, don't you....." Izalth nodded. "Yes....Thunderlord was once evil and malign. Bandon was a mage, eager to fulfil his own wishes. Eager to have his thunder elemental." Izalth continued. "Thunderlord was impressed by bandon's courage, and gave him the elemental. But Thunderlord broke his promise. Immediately upon the gift being bestowed, Thunderlord killed him, and everyone else. It was the 7th extinction. Now, Bandon has returned as a cursed undead, and he has lost his elemental. The elemental he always wanted. Thunderlord was sealed away until some other fool came to summon him. That fool was you. Make no mistake, Thunderlord will be back. He will doom you to the same fate."

Cibhi looked taken aback.
"There's...my headband.."He said"But..."he sighed"I don't think they'd go after that.It's...not as valuable as most things."He looked away in a kind of ahsamed way.If anyone knew how much it was worth,they'd know why,and wouldn't be after that...

Havar looked at Cibhi sideways.
"Give it to me...I have a certain machine that can scan for magic..It may be the headband that they want."



Nero left the island, on a boat rowed by 6 people so thin that even a skeleton would stare.
So...He had the first part; the key. That was safe. The finding of..it.. would be difficult, but the...others...were onto that. It wouldnt be too long.
But the third piece...
Aha. All he had was a name.
Cibhi.

Cibhi took it off,and handed it over.
"There shouldn't be any magical enchantments.It's an old family heirloom,hasn't done anything whatsoever but look nice..."He said,and sat down"What are we doing now then?We can't just sit here and wait..."

Havar scanned it. There was no magic.
"Hm...I thought that would be it. Tell me, are you different in any way? Powerful in magic, unexpected powers, anything?"
Hawke suspected that there was. He was most adept at reading people, and he could tell Cibhi knew something. However, he also knew how to extract information better then Havar did.
"Come now, Havar, do not pester him with questions! Tell me, Cibhi..tell me about your parents."

"My mum's gone and I haven't seen my dad in two years."Cibhi said defensively"My dad was a baker in Loranolis,I learned magic at school.Are we done or shall we probe into my past further?"

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't realise it was a touchy subject. Loranolis, eh? I hear thats nice. Lots of magic there. Tamarisk tree, too. Said to be planted by Empartheus himself." Hawke said. It wasn't a question, as such, but it left a hole in the conversation that people felt obliged to fill.

"...Why is this important?Why do we need to know the reason they're after me?"He said"Surely we only need to know who is after me and how to beat them?It doesn't matter what they're after if they're dead..."

Nero landed just south of the mountains. It would be simpler to reach the boy via the forest, but Nero would rather eat live snakes then go in there, though no one knew it.
Well...almost no one.
He called to his Ice Wyvern once more, and flew northwards.

Hawke decided that Cibhi wasn't going to say a word.
"Alright, alright. So, we need to find those who are searching for you. Havar...I believe you can help here."
Havar smiled, and pulled the cover off a mirror against the wall.
Though, that's not quite true. It wasnt a mirror.
It was a Scrying Glass.
"This is the powerful scrying glass that the dwarves possess." Havar said, with only a slight detectable trace of smugness.
Hawke went over to it, and stared it for some time. The surface seemed to turn to liquid.
Hwake looked at Cibhi, then back at the glass.
"Show us the ones who search for Cibhi, and who would do him harm..."
The glass obeyed.
And Hawke, in his surprise, smashed the glass.

"What?"Said Cibhi"Who was it?Is it bad?"He started to sob"It was only a matter of time before he sent someone.He'd find out where I was,I knew it,but I still ran!He'd have the whole kingdom searched..."

Hawke was still shaken. "I'm sorry Havar! You can fix it, right? I can pay! I'm so sorry!.."
"Calm down!" Said Havar loudly, "Yes, we can fix it...and I understand."
Hawke turned to Cibhi. "What's this "He" You're talking about? Tell me!" Hawke almost shouted, getting unusually angry.

Xu was suprised. He ran over to the hole in which the horse had crashed through.

"Alright, everyone, calm down now. Every things over. "

He focused on the hole, and rebuilt it using Magic. He then walked over to Salvanar...

"Whatever your quest may be, I will have to leave you now. I'm afraid that Bandon will be back...I can feel it. It is an honour to meet you, dear friend...

Goodbye,"

Xu walked outside the inn, and saw several surprised Dwarfs walking along the road.

Then, he decided to set off on his journey home...

He walked past Grax'Nor and Haleinsis. He then set up temporary camp a few miles outside the city...

Tulak felt a unholy coldness unfold in the area. He checked the fire and it was still lit and so Tulak went outside. What he saw was unnerving. Bandon has found him. Tulak readied his sword to fight for his life.

"My father."Cibhi said"Who else?Who else do you think has the power to have the whole of Corbep searched to find one boy,one IMPORTANT boy,his only son..."He wiped his eyes"Who else?"

Hawke was confused. He knew the man searching for Cibhi, and he was not the type to take orders, or share power. It was a foolish man who thought he could control Nero.
"And why are you important? Dont tell me you don't know. If you don't then it makes it all the harder to protect you."

"...But...Surely someone would know?"Said Cibhi.He pointed at Havar"Surely he knows?He would recognise me?He's seen me and my father enough times to know.And surely you know what the Corbep royal family looks like?Have I changed so much in two years that no-one recognises the Prince of Corbep?"

Hawke stared at him for a while, and then had a hurried conversation with Havar.
".....possible?.......legend......He wouldn't......Nero.......blood...No, don't be stupid..."
Then they both straightened up.
"You aren't safe here. We need to move you." said Havar.
But it was too late for that.

Nero's Wyvern swooped upon the Entrance to the dwarf hall, blasting it apart with ease. Most wyverns had learned to stay away from the dwarves, but this one wasn't entirely acting of it's own accord. And most wyverns weren't supported by someone like Nero.

Tulak and Bandon dueled for 2 hours straight when Bandon hit Tulak's sword straight out of his hand. At that moment Tulak pulled out his steel amulet and wispered into it and then a steel hammer came out of Tulak's chest hitting Bandon straight into his stumach sending him flying. At that moment Tulak pulled out his gold bow and fired the last of his enchanted his arrows at Bandon...

Still at the Dwarf City, Salvanar was getting used to his Minion, the legendary Izath the Executor. He was very noble, almost King-Like in the way he addressed others, but he was often shy. Izath liked being around his master.

Suddenly they were stopped by the Wyvern's entrance. "Nero! What are you doing here?" Salvanar asked. Izath entered a defensive mode.

Nero looked at Salvanar.
"Ah! What a suprise to see you here, Lorian! As you can see I brought my pet!"
The wyvern screeched so loud and high that the dwarf warriors approaching fell clutching their heads. It could be heard deep deep down in the core of the mountain, where Hawke and Cibhi hid.
"Quickly!" Hawke said, "We must leave- Havar, is the passage still open?"
Havar nodded. "Goodbye, my friend. It is likely this will be the last time you see me."
Hawke called hurried out of the room, calling for cibhi to follow.

Salvanar smiled. "I too, have brought mine. Meet Izath, the Executor. Legend fortells him as the only lightning elemental to betray his master and defeat him. For that reason, Izath was exiled from the elemental plane by Thunderlord. He now serves me loyally."

Cibhi followed,scared and sweating.Surely this couldn't all be for him?What was so important?If they didn't want the royal family around they'd kill his father and leave him...He hated being a prince...
He looked forward and noticed he was falling behind
"Wait!"He said"My legs aren't that long!I can't keep up!"
