Old storyline; locked

Hawke was walking along a track in the forest, when three men stopped him.
"Ain't you Hawke?" They said. Now Hawke could see even more, up to a dozen. This didn't bode well.
"No, my name is Reginald Harverspring." He said, lying with ease.
"Nah...i reckon you are Hawke! Get him!" They shouted.
Hawke leapt back, drawing his knives and plunging them into the thighs of the two closest. Then he jumped onto his horse, and charged off as fast as he could. He needed somewhere safe to stay.

Toro saw the people, Lorians, trying to kill there king, Chibi...Something mad was going on, time to make his speak.
"People!" Toro shouted, using magic to make himself louder and Koroa to silence them. "People, why are we attacking our king!? This is just utter madness! Attacking the only royal Lorian! Now I ask you, why? Why are you attacking Chibi? Please just tell. And I know many of you would now just run away, chase off the king, or just attacking me, and kill me. But I won't care. As long as I made my words clear, I wouldn't care if I died in the most cruel way possible...."
"Alright!" A big looking Lorian shouted out. "Lets get him too!"


Toro panicked, as they lobbed stones, arrows, magic...anything at Toro. He jumped upon Koroa, as she gave a burst of flames, and they flew off, quickly teleporting an uncouncious Xu to stop getting trampled on. *

Bandon was taking a long route back to the island when the bushes started firing at him. Bandon got hit multiple times and fell off the horse then he heard a man shout "Thats Bandon! Quick get him!" Then more people went after him. He shrugged off the bolt wounds and started after the men, swinging his heavy axe. "Damn this! I am tired, leave me alone!" He yelled before running back the way he came. He has got to find the others...

Xu woke up to find himself on a Dragon, High in the Sky.
"Wha...Wha...Wha.." He Stuttered...

"I think not. You have no authority over here and i would be careful if I was you because I am the heir to this Dukedom." Airien said, voice hardening slightly.

Selena raised an eyebrow.
"Very well." She sat down.
"Officially, I am here to ask about buying the theatre; however i have considerably more important information."
She leaned forward.
"I believe you know of Nero, and his plan? Well, do you also know he spoke of the Third Empire?"

"Yes, infact I know considerably more than you think about that, madam." The Duke said, almost tonelessly. "I have kept an eye on some of his old associates, one of whom provided much information until the king had him foolishly hanged, but that cannot be undone now. Yes Nero was employed by one known as the Golden Mask, he is most likely the ruler of the Third Kingdom, one Nero's associates was very vague on this point Nero it appears talked about the Golden Mask in fear and reverance at the same time but he also talked about war, new kingdoms, the Third Kingdom I assume and the crystal of Empartheus. You may or may not know that for some unnatural reason, the lands of the Norn is becoming barren, the creatures there are dissapearing."

Bandon got to the king to see him being attacked too so he sprant over to him and flipped over so they were back to back. "You miss me? Remember keep your back against mine and we will triumph!" Then Bandon braced for an attack...

Selena was surprised.
"Well; you are more well-informed then I thought. But do not assume you know more then me; you are right, the Golden Mask does indeed rule the Third Empire." She smiled.
"But I know where the Empire is situated. I know many of it's spies; and I know that the mountains are dying."
She looked around, suddenly nervous.
"I would have told the king; but I fear that the Mask has a spy even amongst his court. I couldn't risk him finding out. So i came here; i know that nobody here is a spy. The Empire is on a small island some way southwest of the Southern Forest. No ships ever go there; it is believed to be cursed. This is because the Mask kills off any sailors who go near."
"I am planning to infiltrate it myself; hopefully gain favour with the Mask and find out what his actual plan is. I thought it wise to inform someone else of this before i go, in case I...don't return." Selena fell silent, glancing at Airien.

"Well, you are right about the court having spies in it, most of them are so corrupt I wouldn't be surprised if they attempted to comit treason. The Grand Vizier is the one who worries me, he has been acting... ah... a little strange shall we say? Yes the mountains ave me worried but, the Norn do not accept any authority there so I cannot help them. But, you could well be wrong about there being no spies here, if the Golden Mask were intelligent, which I believe he is vastly so to beable to run so many things for so long with out being noticed until he has already made several moves, he would have employed a great number of my people to spy on me, the chef, for example, has already tried to poison me, his assistants, twice." The Duke replied

"Then we have little time."
She stood up.
"Well; I will be off now, I need to catch a ship."
She bowed to the Duke, and turned to leave.


Optimarus was, insofar as possible, pleased.
The Norn mountains were dying. Apparently the animal rate of death was 8% a day now, so it would only be about a week before they all died out. The foliage was dying too. Ah, and soon the Norn.
He smiled.

Toro could hear Xu muttering.
"Don't worry" Toro said, "Your on my dragon. Flying....somewhere." Toro thought for a moment. "Where do you want to go?"

"Erm..." Xu felt as if he was going to fall off, so he dragged himself upright, so instead of laying on the Dragon, he was sitting on it.

"Erm.." He muttered a Second time

"I live on the Isle of Selenis... However, I do not feel fit enough to return just yet. I can barely walk, never mind defend myself, or even look after myself properly."

He then attempted to launch an Energy Ball towards the ground, but it only travelled a few metres before stuttering, and failing.

"Tell me, do you know of anywhere where I can be safe, until I recover? You see, on the Isle of Selenis, there are no other people, and no markets..."

He then peered down to the ground, which looked so far way, and Gulped at the thought of falling...

"Don't worry about falling." Toro said looking at Xu looking down. "Either me or Koroa can teleport you back on here, you could too. And anyway, as long as you hold on, you'll stay on."
"I don't really no where to go. Over half the population of Grennendia are hostile with us. I think maybe we should go to a peaceful place." Toro thought about going back to the sea caves, a possibility, but he wanted to keep that secret. A quite place, but where?

Selena left the house, and chartered a carriage to Selenis. The resemblance in the names had always amused her.
Suddenly, the driver stopped.
She knocked on the carriage door.
"Drive on!" She called.
The carriage did not stop.
She got out to see why, and her angry frown disappeared.
The driver was, quite spectacularly, dead.
This was obvious by the way his organs were strewn about the road.
Selena stood horrified. The Golden Mask..he'd found her. She spun around, and a man cloaked in black leather sliced at her. She dodged, taking another look at her attacker.
He had claws, and some..interesting teeth.
No time for observations! she chided herself, as another attack narrowly missed her ear. She called forth magic, and froze the attacker solid. They stood immobile, their hand raised in readyness to attack again.
She leant against the carriage. It wasn't safe. And if the Mask had found her...had it found the duke, and his daugther?
No time! She gathered the terrified horses, soothing them, and decided to ride one of them back to her Opera House. Almost certainly there were others on the run, and her Opera House was surprisingly safe against intruders. She'd lain down alot of enchantments on the place...it would be perfect.
And then, she would gather the others, and fight back against the Golden Mask.

Xu looked down from the Dragon, to see something...strange. They were flying over Selenis, and they saw a carriage stop in the middle of the road, and a sort of fight go on, between two people.

Of course, Xu would of Helped, but in his state it would be better not to...

Xu called to Toro.

"Look, Down there!!"

He pointed at the Carriage...

Bandon and Cibhi must have been fighting for hours because they were on a mound of dead soldiers. Then they became seperated from each other and Bandon yelled at the King to run then he fled. His ribs were petruding from his black shirt and he was getting weary. He was running towards his fortress, he has got to wake Tulak up...

Meanwhile Garan was in the desert but huis entire village has been destroyed. He searches for survivors with little success. Then he heard footsteps but too late. As he spun round a blade completly cleaves him in half releasing his soul, which soon gets captured by The Golden Mask's assassin...

Toro looked down.
"Don't get involved, look at the state your in..." Toro said, looking at Xu's bruised body. "Do you know where Chibi went? They might be helpful..."

Selena looked up as she began to ride. A gigantic dragon was flying in the sky, right above her.
There was no time to be dawdling. The...attacker..was defrosting, and whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant.
She sped up.

Bandon was marveled at how many soldiers this guy had, there must be thousands and then it struck him. They just keep on getting resurrected. He continued his fight over to his fortress which was still well guarded, if the constant storm did not kill anyone, the guards did. Bandon marched down the desecrated halls with each skeleton standing to attention. He finnaly reached the private chambers and inside one of the rooms, Tulak was laying on a bed, his scars were glowing with an unhealthy black glow. Bandon turned and went after his messenger hawks. he must get everyone here where it is safe...

Cibhi continued running.His horse had been slain by a flying arrow,and the soldiers were too distracted to notice him.But that was the worst of his troubles.
He was in Deep Forest.Possibly the darkest place in all of Grennendia.Many people had ventured into these places and never came back,those who did had lost their minds or fell dead at the sight of the sun,happiness overloading them and ordering them to shut down.The magical aura of the place changed the sounds you heard and the sights you saw;the lowliest cricket could look and sound like a terrifying monster;but it held it's good too.
Many who had returned had brought back with them potions made from the plants there that cured the most deadly diseases,and if it weren't for the magic that seeps out of it the Tamarisk tree could never have grown.
Of course,Cibhi didn't think of this,as right now he was running as fast as he could,fear propelling him further into the darkness.

Bandon charged into his throne room and found most of his birds were dead and so he picked the healthiest one and sent it after Cibhi, he was top priority then he sent another one to Hawke. He then fed the birds and summoned his elemental, told it it's orders and made it go after Xu. He must get all his allies here to think up a plan. He also sent a skeletal guard to the capital city to see if his regimant of soldiers could get back here, he would need them. After he sent his messengers he slumped onto his throne and clicked his fingers, starting the piano to play by itself. Bandon was stressed...

Hawke spotted a bird, high in the sky. He stopped trudging along, his horse having been killed by a Forest Lizard a while back. The bird slowly descended, and he knew it was a messenger bird. Eventually, it landed, and the message was from Bandon, asking him to come to his fortress. Well, that seemed like a plan. But..he wanted somebody else there. He might well need their help, and besides, no doubt she knew all about the cause of this...ah..misunderstanding.
He didn't send the bird back, but instead cleared the message with magic, and sent off a new message, addressed to the Opera house in Ravui.

Airien turned to her father after there conversation. "Stay safe, father, stay safe. I am going down to the opera house to see if I can find out where she is going." Airien said. With that she left the citadel, went through all three gates and headed down to the opera house, entered and asked a servant for Selena...

Selena told the servant to bring Airien upstairs, to her room. Selena was in a bad state, owing to riding as fast as she could with no protective clothing on her legs or otherwise, which now had bruises, and she had found that one of the attackers strikes had connected with her shoulder, which stung like hell with the cloth slung over it, which was soaked with hot water. She groaned in pain.
There was a knock at the door, and the servant introduced Airien into the room.
