Never met Ultraviolet light because Airien reflected it. The first and last may cause the reason that he can't shake Hawke off. However, shaking someoen off your legs is very hard to do actually.

PS: I know why Optimarus can't shake Hawke off and what will happen next, unfortunatly I won't tell anyone
