Old storyline; locked

Bandon got stabbed straight in the chest between the arrows. He looked down at his new wound then he looked up at Nero's face. "You b*tch!" but before he could attack Nero he got engulfed in the black. Bandon turned to Cibhi and said "How dare you! I was looking forward to this moment!" Now what should I do? I am forced to walk the light forever!" Bandon slumped to the ground. "When you opened that, it released my evil and now I am incomplete." Bandon seemed like he was about to cry at that moment.

Nero stumbled back.
"No...NO! Princeling, you will not live much longer! Mark my words, I am not easy to kill, and the Third Empire remains to-" Nero stopped. In the writhing mass around him, something open which you might expect to be a mouth.
It descended, and smothered Nero, swallowing him completely.
The mass then shifted, and moved away from the spot.
Nero was no longer there.

Sword missed and stopped moving as the tune came. "There is no elemental you fool." Aerul turned and watched as chaos began to seep out of the temple. He leapt into the water and swam up to it...

Hawke watched the battle between rangers from a nearby hill. He had managed to reach Mirage Lake by stealing a horse, then galopping as fast as he could. He had also used his vast sums of money to buy a small scrying glass; it was a recent thing, only able to see short distances and not very clear, but clear enough.
He saw the battle between Nero and Cibhi,
He saw Nero die.
Hawke sat, stunned. For so long he had wished to kill Nero and now he was dead. Even when they were growing up together, he'd been...different.
He'd killed Hawke's mother. And now Hawke was free of this burden. He smiled.
And his thoughts now were along the lines of;
I wonder if I'll get any reward money for this...

Cibhi muttered another word,and the chaos halted.
"Chaos cannot be ordered"He said"However,this world is one of order.Thus,the chaos cannot exist but on another world where it influences this world..."He said,and the chaos shivered for a second,before slowly crumbling away into ashes.Cibhi sighed.
"Well,it's all over."He said,as the chest reformed on the plinth,wide open.He placed the key inside,and closed it,locking it automatically.
"It will build up over the years until it destroys itself."He said,and turned to Bandon"Also,I think we should get out of here soon.The evil inside the chest was causing the temple to be balanced by all the good around it,letting it float.Any second now we will start to sink."He ran for the exit as fast as he could.

Aerul stod outside the temple as it started to sink. He could not figger out how to remove the energy barrier on the door way into the temple

Bandon leaped up and started to run, he got out of the building and it started sinking before them. Bandon got the boat and waited for Cibhi to get on, then he went over to the side of the lake and searched for Tulak. After minutes of searching Bandon found Tulak lying on the floor, scars turning back to blue. He lifted Tulak over his shoulder and found his horse and laid him on it. He now had to find the real elemental...

Cibhi climbed out of the boat after Bandon,and turned to see the top of the temple dissapear.He sighed.
"Anyone here know the quickest way back to Corbep?I think it may be missing a king..."He said sadly.

Bandon had found his elemental and cut off the bondage ropes, the elemental then faded to smoke and went back inside Bandon. He heard a moan and then something cough up blood. He then realised it was Tulak. He ran over to him and lifted his head up and at the same time Bandon yelled for help...

Aerul hooked on to the boat after Cinhi, hanging off the side. As they walked off in the other direction Aerul vowed to kill Cibhi. Even if it took him a lifetime. A vow that did not go un-noticed. He released Bandons Elemental and left heading for 'The Run'...

On an island....
Underground, guarded by a black marble gateway...
Inside, deep inside..
Is a throne.
On the throne sits a man, a man clothed in a hooded gold and black robe, and obscuring his face further sits a golden mask. It is featureless; it has eyes, and a mouth, and nose; that is it.
And he is not happy.
Nero had failed...disappointing. He had almost trusted him. He had certainly expected him to succeed. It seemed that a certain group had interfered. And among them, the Prince of Corbep...
Damn. He should have made a better job of dealing with that boy.
But the other plan could be put into effect. The Norn will be taken care of, as will the Lorians, and the Deva never took an interest in anyone else.
and then...the humans...
Optimarus smiled. It was time to show Grennendia just how bad true evil could be; they thought Nero was bad?
Let them see what I am like...

'The Run' had never had much success as an inn in the mountains by an unknown lake. But when outcasts came and Rangers came 'The Run' was transformed into a motte and bailey castle to protect the outcasts. It was here that outcasts who were serious outcasts came. They kept in touch. The society outside society it was called. Very few outside the unknown society knew of its existance, but here, here an army could be raised easily. An army that would cast down society to bring back those who should not have been thrown out of corrupt society. It was here Aerul had control, here the remaining rangers came to it was from here word went out...

If one wanted trouble or chaos even it was here they should come...

Toro had saw it all.
But what was strange, was the tune, the super tune. But it had told him something....something to go in the sea.
Toro teleported right by the Grenendia seas west of Halenis. He dived in the water, using a magical air-bubble to let him breath. He got lower.
When he was at the sea bottom, he saw a hole in the ground...he knew he must go through it...

Xu was still in the building when it started to sink. He cancelled out the energy barrier Jump to the water. But, he didn't go in the water. He hovered just above the surface, and started to travel forwards at an amazing speed. When he got to the shore, everyone was gone.

"But...Where IS everyone?" he thought. "And what was that beautiful melody? And why did the Temple sink?!"

Only one sentence came into his mind.

"The Third Empire"...

6 Months later...

Cibhi was bored.For six months he had sat on a throne,doing nothing.After the events at the Temple all had been quiet in Grennendia.
Sure,his birthday had passed,a few problems here and there...Nothing important or exciting.He shifted uncomfortably on his throne,adjusting his crown.How boring this was.

Bandon came rushing in to the throne room. "Cibhi! I mean, my lord! I just recieved a letter from another country. Here take a read of this. It sounds inportant." He handed the letter to the new king and waited to see what Cibhi's reaction would be.

Toro went through the hole in the floor, it led into a tunnel...lot's of them. He had seen this coming as the song gave him a vision. Now he must find the main tunnel.
It was dark. He found a small tunnel which lead into a cave, which had very shallow, almost no water. Perhaps he could rest here if he got tired, which he was slightly, but it was very cold, he was still 100s of meters below the sea bottom, and if he used magic, they might sense it. They don't like magic from strangers...let alone enemies...

Hawke sat in his house in Tralenia. He was just as bored as cibhi, though he didn't know it. He'd been rewardded with plenty of money, medals, and even this house.
But he had nothing to do. He'd conned people because it was fun. But now he couldn't break the law, oh no, not Hawke, respesctable pillar of the community.
Damn, he thought.

Optimarus needed somebody else.
Nero had failed; now he needed somebody else to work through. Somebody to try and kill Cibhi, or at least distract him.
The plans in both the Norn Range and the Forest were going well. But Cibhi might interfere.
He'd had word of one person; somebody who held a grudge. Apparently, he'd stayed at the Run inn.
So here was the bartender, sitting in front of him. He been brought against his will, and yet was proving surprisingly strong willed. He refused to tell of this man, this tool for Cibhi's destruction, or even told Optimarus his name.
Well, there was nothing for it then. He descended the steps from his throne towards the man, taking out his knife. He nodded to an orchestra in the corner, who began to play an excellent piece of classical music that Optimarus himself had written.
He liked to listen to music while he worked. Optimarus swooped down upon the unfortunate man, and knew with absolute certainty that he wouldn't see daylight again.

"Sir, the bartender of the White rock is gone." Some one said.
"Some one is on to us." Another said.
"Not for long." A third said...

Cibhi took the note from Bandon,and read it.His eyes lit up with anger.
"WHO ON EARTH-!"He started shouting,before stopping and calming down."Who would attempt to cut down the Tamirsk tree?"He sighed"We'll have to go there and find out.Ba-"
"Excuse me sir."Said one of the gaurds"But I'm afraind we cannot allow you to be in such danger.Anyone willing to cut down the Tamirsk tree isn't going to hesitate to kill you as well."
"But-"
"Sorry,it's part of the royal decree.Until you have an heir to the throne you are not able to fall into this kind of danger."Cibhi sighed.
"Alright.Bandon,gather up anyone you need,all my men are at your disposal,and find out whoever this is and stop them.I would also suggest finding anyone who was at the Temple,they will be helpful."He stood up."Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to my room."

Optimarus drummed his fingers on the throne.
They'd found the cutters. Damn. Why is it that his plans were always foiled by chance?
Well then; time to try more subtle methods. He'd send Mazei. He was an excellent spy.
He was also an excellent poisoner. Perfect.



OOC: I'm going to have a temporary character, Mazei, who is a sort of spy.

"Yes sir. I shall get Lucifer's Pride right away. Do I have to keep on calling you lord, sir?" Bandon called his elemental nd told him to get his personal force ready. Bandon got his weapons and met his force out in the courtyard. "Listen up, soldiers! We have got to stop our enemies from cutting down the Tamirsk Tree so get your horses and travel there immediatly." "Yes Sir!" the soldiers shouted at once and within minutes they were on their horses and in their chariots galloping after Bandon to the tree...

Hawke was reading a book he'd already read 3 times when a carrier hawk arrived at his window.
Hawke smiled. He liked birds.
His smile disappeared when he read the note.
Trying to cut down the Tamarisk Tree? But that...would kill..the whole forest...
A suspicion grew in his mind. It was just the sort of thing Nero would do. But Nero was gone, wasn't he? But what was it he'd said, before he died...Something about a third empire...
Hawke packed his things, and sent the carrier bird to Cibhi, with a note saying that if he wanted to save the tamarisk tree, that cibhi would please meet with Hawke in Tralenia in a few days time.
Then he practised with his knives. He had a feeling he was going to need them.

Cibhi was stood atop the tallest tower of the Palace,looking out.He had come up here,away from the nobles of the court.He had watched Bandon ride off with the soldiers.He sighed,and then noticed a hawk sat infront of him with a letter on it's foot.He smiled.Strange how they always knew where you were.He took the letter off,put a gold piece in it's beak,and read it.He sighed,and tossed it off the top of the tower.He sat on the edge,and thought.He wouldn't get out normally,he needed a better way...

Back in the cave, Toro had found the main cave...it was beautiful!
Sea dragons-much like Kako, the one that Ryo had-were swimming around. All different colours, they shimmered and glittered and one welcomed Toro. This one was black with a red under-belly and other red parts of body. It showed Toro around, and grunted to show were things were. Toro could somehow see what the Sea dragon was trying to say, so he nodded in reply occaisionally.
He found out that the tunnels were only found out in dreams, the dragon told Toro that through mind talking, something that dragons can do to humans and Lorians when they gain trust-this obviously ment that this one had gained Toro's trust!
When Toro went back to the little cave he found for shelter, he thought. He was thinking if only this dragon could be mine, follow me, much like an elemental. He knew that capturing dragons the proper way-using magic to weaken them then force them to follow you-enrages them, so he would have to do it the hard way. Persuading it.

He took a bit of persuasion, but somehow, it agreed. They swam out of the caves together and went out of the waters. To explore grennendia.


He named the dragon, Koroa, (Ko-ro-ra)


6 months past....
They were in there hut. They had decided to move to a tree closer to the sea..much easier. Life had been going good, until rumors about someone chopping down the Tamarisk tree.
Nothing much had happened since that battle, where Nero died. But he reconned that it would have something to do with him....better go see...
