Old storyline; locked

Hawke watched the battle and the pillar of steel with a look of amazement. After the flameseer had explained that Optimarus must be killed to save the mountains, he had taken one of the huge fast Norn Horses to the coast nearest the Island. Now he saw a huge bridge, and on the horizon, the island.
He dismounted, but could find no way into the arena where Cibhi was. Damn! He thought.
Selena arrived next to him. "Whats going on? And do you know what's happened to Airien?" She asked.
"Well Airien has been captured by the Mask. Bandon went to save her, but he hasn't returned.." He said, worried.
Selena suddenly looked worried. Ever since using Empathy on Airien, she had a mental link to her. A weak one, but she could tell something had happened to her mind. Something unnatural and definitely not good.
She and Hawke, a few minutes later, found an abandoned boat. A fisherman's, left behind when the huge army of the Duke arrived. They took it, and began to slowly row towards the Third Empire.


Optimarus joined the astroseers watching the battle. He was not paticularly worried. For one, the observatory wasn't visible anywhere except when approaching the very top of the mountain, and secondly because the meteor was nearing the optimum position.
Soon the great ball of rock would crash into the earth, and leave none but he but and a few others alive.

Irien remained in the shadows, waiting for something to happen, tehn she noticed something in her almost empty mind, a link to somewhere, else, Airien didn't cross the link, she couldn't cross it, it was too far, but she could do something else, she began to investigate the link, unable to cross it or anything, but unknowingly she sent across the link the powerful evil of Optimarus...

Selena suddenly fell to the floor of the small rowing boat.
Optimarus had realised that somebody else was in Airien's mind. He didn't know how, but he didn't like it. His mind had roared across the link like a rhino on a rampage. Selena was strong willed, and had a strong mind, but it was no match for the might of Optimarus Caliphos.
She felt herself descend into darkness, and severed the link just in time. If she had left it any longer, Optimarus might have gained control of her as well. She fell unconcious, and Hawke was left to row the boat by himself.

Xu and Coralie chose a path, from which they heard Screams of Pain.
They turned out to be Survicing Enemy Soldiers, and Xu blasted them with beams of Energy.

"He's up there, I know it." Xu said,
"Who?Who is Where?" Coralie replied, looking slightly confused.
"The Golden Mask" He replied. "He's in those Mountains, I can feel it."

They heard a huge booming sound, and looked out of one f the Fortress's windows.
"Look at that! It's going to destroy all of Grenenndia!" they both Screeched...

Tulak arrived at Bandon's fortress to find the horde taking the ships. Tulak hurried and jumped onto one of the nearby ships. "Wait, I am going with you. I am going to your native lands." Tulak told them and Bossimich shook his head. "Huhhh. Fine come with us but remember, you are not going to be able to leave the lands just as easy. Now settle down we are leaving."
The ships sailed off away from the island. Leaving the war behind them...

Airien wilted and fell to her knees as Optimarus' mind roared through her head and across the link and then back again, permanently closing the link and strengthening his control over her mind to make sure who ever made the link couldn't remake it.

Everyone seemed to be going to Optimaru's fortress....better go along too.
It was hard. People barging you, almost nobody you knew, close to death.

Kalimvarak- The Court of Elements

Izath was Transported to the Kalimvarak by Anonymous the Dark, who was now at his trial with several other elemental lords. Sollian, Vulcar, Cyraclonius and Levanshine were there, along with elementals he had never before witnessed. Izath could feel that Anonymous hated him, and that every elemental lord in the room was disappointed at least with Izath's actions. However, he turned to face Sollian and he saw the great lord of light beaming with joy and content at Izath. It left Izath feeling terrible. He had disgraced Sollian's name, and STILL the great one forgave him. Izath nearly felt ill. He then turned to a light elemental next to Sollian. All he recieved were looks of total disgust. Suddenly an Omnielemental came into the court.

"May I have your attention, elementals. I speak as the court leader this day. I, Yherious the Omnipresent, do address you to listen to me upon this trial."

Izath was confused. "Who is that?" He asked his defendant. The elemental smiled. "His name is Yherious. He's one of the Omnielements."

Anonymous suddenly stood up. "Silence you miserable Th'ikatka!" He yelled to Izath. "You will show respect!" He sat back down. "Apologies, Yherious."

The monstrous elemental sat on his throne and began the trial.

Grennendia

Salvanar was among the amassing armies. He was suddenly feeling alone- no Izath, no Bandon. He even tried summoning his faithful little elemental to no avail. Shoving past the slow and crippled, he tried his best to find those who he knew most. It was not easy.

Toro struggled to get past the huge warriors....from skeletals to norn. Koroa though was having much harder trouble, her being big.

Bellruss was standing in the middle of his skeletal force, fighting against his enemies. He had left the fortress amassing troops from different graves along his way to the battle. He was able to amass a force of 20000 skeletons and their horses. He even got a homeland defence group of around a hundred to guard the fortress. Suddenly Bellruss broke off from his army and went to search for a freind who needed his help. He found one and he was Salvanar. "I am Bellruss the Unwavering, Bandon's champion. I am here to help you. I await your leadership." He said bowing to Salvanar...

Grennendia

Salvanar was busy pushing past all the people, when he finally met Toro. "Hey there, on your way to the Fort?"

"Oh!" Toro said releived that someone he knew was here. "Yep...making my way." Koroa though was having a hard time. Some of the norn were as tall and nearly as strong as her, and the skeletal warriors were hard not to tread on!

Salvanar nodded. "Let's go have some fun!" He said enthusiastically.

As he walked with Toro, he could see all sorts of creatures. He was hoping one of the things he would see would be Izath once more.

Hawke arrived at the island, tying the boat with the comatose selena securely to the rocs. Then he edged around the still arriving soldiers, using a certain type of magic that helped the caster go unnoticed. Not invisible, but unnoticed. He glanced up, at the huge mountain. He thought...
That would be the perfect place to watch the soliders and the battle. And Hawke would bet his entire fortune, legal and non, that Optimarus wouldn't be in the fortress with the two armies doing battle.
He set off for the mountain.

Verraidor struck fast.He showed no remorse,and in the metal sphere he could manipulate the area to his advantage.Even with two people against him,they were nothing.The king had already tried melting the area,just for it to reform under him.The Norn had been some trouble,but he was wild.He had no strategy,nothing.He had no chance.Verraidor smiled.Such an easy fight.

Kalimvarak

After a furious trial that lasted for ages, Izath was reaching the end. looking in horror as no less than five elemental lords decided on his fate, Izath awaited the death-dealing words from Vulcar.

"...Freedom. The element of fire demands freedom for this youth."

Izath was absolutely speechless. Vulcar was defending him! Vulcar had never defended anyone before. The entire council was shaken off its foundations. Words of absolute surprise and bordeline shock rippled throughout the council. Now his fate hung in the balance with Levanshine, Cyraclonius and Verhioth.

Levanshine Boomed out. "The element of water has always demanded discipline and order. This reckless teraway will be the death of Grennendia. We must force punishment."

It was a painful blow. Elementals loved and respected Levanshine. This might just have sealed his fate.

Cyraclonius spoke next. "The wind element embraces freedom above all else. Request for punishment denied!"

Verhioth's immense body burst from the ground. "The element of Grennendia itself realises the risk involved, but we cannot, I repeat cannot force a child to suffer the penalties we'd give a truly criminal elemental. I demand freedom, as do we all."

Yherious had heard enough. "Freedom Granted, return Izath to his controller."

Anonymous nearly died. "No...NOOOO! My nemesis, free!"
He upturned the table he was sitting near and launched it at Sollian. "Damn you, wretched creatures of light. DAMN YOU ALL!" He withered into the darkness.

Grennendia

Salvanar's hand was glowing with a lustrous light. He flicked his hand and Izath returned. "Master, I have much to tell." He said. Salvanar smiled. "Look forward to it. First, say hi to toro!"

"Wah!?" Toro jumped as Izath suddenly apeared. "Were the hell did you come from!?"

120,000 soldiers of Corbep, bolstered by the numerous guards of the Fortress closed the gates barred them and barricaded them. The Duke himself stood on a tower balcony, watching the enemy approach. "Catapults, fire!" He commanded, catapults situated on top of towers around teh fortress fired, their huge boulders sinking the ramshackle bridge, while other catapults threw thousands of one pound rocks at the massing army, one pound rocks often broke arms, but rarely killed. Archers filled towers and aimed out of arrow slits everywhere, the Barbican gatehouse was well reinforced, any attacking force would be covered in a rain of arrows and boiling oil. inside the fortress was the same, hundreds of kill zones where men went in and the defenders closed portcullises on them, both sides and then archers showerdd them with arrows from the ceiling and walls. The Fortress would not lightly be taken. With 500 elementals ready and willing to use their knowledge of what has happened during the great war to destroy their enemies and defend the soldiers of Corbep. On the towers, men ran up the banners of Optimarus, Corbep, Cibhi and Travui. The might of Corbep was behind the Golden Mask because Cibhi had been so poor a king that he had let others rule instead.

Hawke started climbing the mountain. He accidentally dislodged some rocks, which caused a msall landside below him. He grabbed onto a outjutting rock, and pulled himself up, breathing heavily.
Still a long way to go, he thought as the sun set.

It was a full moon that night when an unnatural cold settled through the graveyard. Balnook looked out of his hut in the graveyard and he heard a wolf howl. Then a deathly fog engulfed the area. Balnook left the hut and investigated what was happening. He did a full circuit of the graves and returned to reading his book in the warm. Suddenly a fist came shooting through the soil, then the rest of the body.
The gravekeeper walked in and saw the macabre monster and screamed. Balnook came rushing out just to find the man savagely mutilated. He rang the bell and guards from the town came rushing in.
The now abandoned streets had a shadow running in them. A lone guard was at his post when the monster came running towards him. He screamed and dropped dead, his chest ripped apart. Someone was on the prowl...

Airien looked over the edge, she saw a lone figure low down on the mountain, slowly trying to climb up. Airien backed away from the edge and went back into the observatory, back into the shadows.

Airien was clothed earlier here is what she is wearing. ignore the bow at the back, that isn't there. (there is a lower full length drees part that is partially shown!)

Izath laughed. "I cannot say, but believe me, I'm glad to be away!" He looked towards the fortress. "The final battle begins. We will destroy them all." Salvanar looked at him. "You seem pretty sure of yourself." The elemental put his sword in the air. "I am not sure of myself, I am sure of everyone here. WE will slaughter him.

The silent creature ran through the town intil he found the armoury. He quickly smashed the lock and murdered all inside. He took all the weapons he could carry and put on some dark, evil armour. When he exit the building he saw something white haunting the roads. He went after it and when he arrived he found out it was a ghost. A powerful one at that... "...Come..." It said in whispers and the warrior followed. "...I am the late Bandon V. Lucifer slain by my nemysis. I have chosen you to be my wrath. In the short time of my death, I have seen you kill brutally without remorse. You are perfect. You are just like me back in my youth... Here is my fortress, luckily I was not buried far from my home. It is yours now. Follow..." Said the ghost and Shadowstep did as he was told...

Xu and Coralie both rushed down the Halls, to the back of the Fotress, where there was a Door leading to a rather large Series of Steps. They both crept slowly up them, trying not to make a Sound.

When they reached the Top, they were nearly at the top of the Mountains.
"Wow" Coralie said, looking down at the Drop. They walked along a windy path, getting closer to the Golden Mask...

"... You have learned fast. I was suprised when you knew necromancy. You learned the technique of mind control fast. Telecinisis will come to you fast. Also while you train, I was transferring my memories to you. Only the most recent but still, you know k'now what you need to so you can kill The Golden Mask. If anyone asks who you are, say you are Bandon. Now take the horse I just resurrected and go." The ghost vanished and Shadowstep did as he was told. He got on the horse and galloped off into the night.

The Skeleton Champion got an order in his mind. "I have come again..." He nodded and ran to the remains of the bridge and awaited for Bandon...
