"I feel sorry for you, about your mother." Said Tulak soberingly." No I don't know of a place but here, this should help you, 100 gold pieces." Tulak was rather generouse to young children or people down on their luck. "Hey if you ever need help kiddo, go to Heathrow passage, I tend to be there. See you later kiddo." Tulak continued to the town...

OOC: It's interesting to point out Tulak never mentioned a noble lorian he met earlier

Salvanar was back in Corbep, in his mansion. One adventure was enough for a day, and he set his staff to rest. His lightning powers calmed the instant he sat down, knowing they could cause no more mischief today.

As Tulak was nearing the town, he saw a fight between the town guard and a rather large band of marauders and so, being the good samaritan, Tulak cocked an arrow to his bow and fired hitting a marauder straight in the head. That caught their attention and some of them went after Tulak. He then pulled out his broadsword and ran straight into them with blades dancing. He cut through the few that went for him like they were paper. Then to help the guards even more he attacked the rest of the marauders. Several bloody minute past while they were cleaving through the armored opponents.
After the fight only 4 out of the 15 guards were alive but Tulak could tell that they butchered many of the marauders. He entered the town and looked for an inn to stay for the night. Eventually he found one [/i]the knight and bow[i]. He paid for the best room and fell asleep in the 4 poster bed, dreaming of a paradise...

It was getting dark, and dangerous. They had got ambushed by bandits twice, though Kako jumped out and scared them. Kako was amazingly helpful. It seemed amazing that dragons can be so nice. They had found many little ice creatures, some the size of a stone, some as big as Toro..who wasn't exectly that tall, like most Lorians. (4"8 )
They had to stop soon, it was getting tiring, intensly cold, and even Kako was starting to look freezing with her extra tough scaly skin. If a big beast came now, it would be the end.

It came.

Hawke strode into the bank. He had bought a suit for the occaision, as it wouldn't do for the "Inspector" to wear rags.
The key was to look as if you had every right to be there, as if you were doing the bank a favour by being in it.
"Well, what have we here, hmm? Dear me.."He walked to the counter, right past the queue. "Largo Hamiros, Inspector, it's a surprise inspection, how's the quality of work here, treating you right, any money gone missing recently?"
The clerk was drowning under a sea of imperious questions when the manager came in. He was a small, nervous man who had survived by being not enough of a nuisance to be rid of. Perfect.
"Can i help, sir?" He said, stuttering slightly.
"I would like to see the money, and check that it isnt.." Hawke hissed between his teeth, "Fake...".
"Oh no, f-fakes here, ah, s-sir, but c-could i possibly a-ask for identification?" The man cowered as he said it.
Hawke pretended to explode in anger. "IDENTIFICATION?! YOU DARE TO COWER IN THIS DILAPIDATED SHACK AND ASK ME FOR ID? Well, I think I know who doesnt know an inspector when they see on...that same person might just find themself out of a job come sunset..." He left the empty threat hanging in the air.
"Oh, of course, sir, right this way!" Stammered the man quickly.

10 minutes later, Hawke was running out of the bank with a case of money, having tricked the manager into giving him one 15th of the money there to "Inspect", which was quite alot. He ran as fast as he could out of Nendel, and never once looked back.

In the mountains, terror was the only thing on Toro's mind.
A large pile of large icy rocks started to form together, and come to life... It's icy eyes illuminated the mountain, making it visable that we could easily fall to are death on the narrow pasage. It's newly formed teath snapped open and shut, to get the stiffness out. It was huge, about 20 ft high and 10 ft wide.
We decided to run, atleast into grounds where we can't fall off as easily. It saw us, it found at that he was very slow, so he used magic....which was amazingly powerful!
A rock of ice, almost like a comet with the magical glowing tail, hit very near me and Ryo, just skimming Kako! The sea seaphent wasn't too happy by this, therefore breathed and inferno of flames into the monsters head. The ice monster was effected by this, and distracted, but not hurt seriously.
This is where I came in. Kako gave another blast, then I got out my katana, and sliced it's foot which was larger than me. The katana itself, was enchanted also, to not break unless modern technology (which isn't known in Grenenda) was used against it. The attack sliced through a rock, burning a lot of ice near it, and burning the monsters rock foot to a dark navy black colour. It looked like it had effected him, but this would take a long time...

Salvanar was worried about his lightning's potential over him. He had to do something to assure he would remain in control. He looked around his mansion for ideas.
The mansion itself was stunning. A heavy Gothic theme. Outside, it was a dark grey, like many fortresses and castles scattered across the land, but inside it was a beautiful colour scheme of reds and purples, giving a very regal tone inside. Salvanar was one of these people who would not stop decorating his home until every floorboard was immaculate. In the Hallways stood statuettes of fierce dragons, and on the ceiling, at every corner, there was an angel with a spear. Salvanar walked past these stone monoliths and stood at the entrance to his library. The floor was marble, and at the very centre was a pentagram symbol with a large ring encompassing it. Inside the ring itself were symbols of star signs, arranged neatly with almost perfect precision. The marble floor was decorated to look like the infinite cosmos, and lights underneath the floor made it seem just as wondrous. Above, on the ceiling, were the constellations as seen from Grennendia. Beautiful dragons, legendary norns, heroic lorians....all imposed in the stars forevermore. The ceiling was also decorated like the infinite cosmos, and combining it with the floor made for a true astral appearance. Along the walls there were thousands, literally thousands of books, resting neatly on a shelf which labelled the genre of the books it held. Every book was pristinely cared for, not a speck of dust on any. At the far top was a chandelier, with eight dragon heads holding eight candles. Instead of sparking to life with flame, the candles started sparking electricity, and eight small orbs of lightning illuminated the library.

Salvanar lit his Staff, and wandered along the library, looking for a particular book. Coming to the elementals section, he started reading along for the book he needed.
"how to tame a fire elemental','scrolls on water mastery','Fire demons and you-cooking the perfect meal with fire elementals','build your own temporary beach with your Earth spirit', 'how to make tornadoes'..." he came to the book. "Aha, the 'Wrath of the Lightning Master!" He hurriedly opened it. He picked up his golden thimble, also seemingly a dragon head, and put his finger to the pages, reading each step.

"The reason for summoning the Master Thunderlord is to finally consumate your dominance of the Elemental plane of Lightning. Only when the Master Thunderlord's tasks have been completed, to the specification he so desires, will the element of Lightning be tamed within the caster forevermore. The Master Thunderlord has never been summoned successfully in over a millenia, and the spell which first calls him into being has long since been lost. We expect the spell to be of ancient corbepian language, long since lost to translators. It might not be possible to call forth the great being anymore."
Salvanar despaired at this, but continued to read.
"The Master Thunderlord, if summoned, is terrifyingly powerful, more powerful than any being on Grennendia. You must treat him with the reverence he deserves. Considering his power as the overlord of all lightning elementals, it would not be overstating that he could possibly destroy the entire planet. Summoning this master would require that the man be willing to carry out any task, lest he incur the monster's wrath. The Master thunderlord will never help you, so don't try summoning him, then try commanding him to attack someone you do not like. The Master Thunderlord listens to no man. He is there but to save magi from their thunderous potential."
Salvanar laughed while reading this. "I wonder if Nero, in all his big-headedness, had actually summoned this Master Thunderlord before, then duelled it? Nay, not possible. No-one's THAT dumb." Salvanar chuckled to himself again. Nero is powerful, but salvanar knows someone stronger. That was worth a read. He quickly ignored the history of the book, and related to the spell itself.
"The spell is most certainly incorrect, but it is a basis for translators. We hope that, in time, this spell will be revealed to us once again. Please see below for the current incorrect translation."
Salvanar looked down to a series of incoherent scribblings. They were recent. Very recent. Salvanar looked around for the vandal. There was no one in the room. He got back to his study and pondered this strange event. "What if this vandal had discovered the true spell? What if he was intent on curing my issue with the Thunderlord's Wrath? I can only hope by testing this out."
Walking back to the library, he stood at the pentagram symbol. Placing the book at the very centre, he commanded bolts of lightning to spark through the pages, lifting the book in the air. Chanting out the words he had written on the pages, he began his long and terrifyingly disasterous summoning of the furious Master....Master of Lightning.

Hawke was lugging his case after him. He needed to reach Haleinis, as one of three storage buildings were there, where he stored all the money he had got from a con.
However, on the way he saw a child. A child travelling alone was rare; there were plenty of orphaned and homeless children in the cities, but travelling was rare.
"Hey, you there, child.."He called to him, "Where are you going? Where are your parents?"

"I'm going wherever the road takes me."Said Cibhi,smiling"I have wandered for a good few years now,I doubt anything,bar war,could stop me now."He continued smiling and sat down"So,where are you going with such heavy luggage?Surely someone with that many possessions is rich enough to rent a carriage or something?"He looked back down the track the man had came down,and realised it was from Nendel.If he had seen any of the wanted posters...

When Xu and his pathetic dragon arrived, there was no-one there. The Ice Castle was slowly re-building itself, obviously something big happened here. There were large patches of rock, instead of Snow. There were also mini-sparks of electricity dancing around the area. One shot straight into his arm.
"Youch!!" He cried, becoming paralysed for a few seconds. He decided to move on, obviously nothing more to happen here. His dragon got zapped by a few sparks, and exploded into particles of snow. Xu now how to walk the rest of his journey. When he was walking down a path, he heard screams and roars. He rushed through to an opening in the trees, and saw a massive Ice-Giant, and a few travellers and a powerful dragon.
Xu rushed over to them...

"What are you doing here?! WHAT IS THAT THING!?"...

It was about 3 o-clock in the morning, and at the darkest and coldest of times. He could see another traveller, gawping at the enormous ice giant. Kako had been going at it for the past 2 hours non stop. It was amazing that they could both go on for that long. Ryo was still attacking, and I was loosing my consiousness. I had to rest, but only after this beast was gone. Almost all of it's body was badly burnt, many rocks ripped in half, some destroyed leaving a hole through the giants body. It shouldn't be long. Shouldn't be long before it was down.

Miles away from the carnage, sat Bandon, right in the middle of his desecrated fortress, meditating. Then all of a sudden another boat crashed into the side of his island and with that he got up and started walking towards the wreakage. On board the wreck was only 1 survivor and Bandon then crushed his head under his heavy axe. He raised his right hand and his horse rose from the grave. He decided that it is time for a bit of fun and so he got on and the horse galloped over the ocean to the mainland. He wanted to go create a bit of chaos...

Xu understood that the travellers couldn't answer, risking losing there advantage on the giant.
Xu attempted to launch a globe of energy on the beast, but found himself to tired to do so. Instead, he attempted to divert the beast from the tired travellers. He launched many tiny nails of fire into the back of the giant...

Bandon decided that he should go to the sleepy little town of Nanalate and help make it more... Exciting and so he started on his way. He saw 4 travellers all who he butchered and he got attacked by bandits twice. All who got in his way, he would kill. At 3 o'clock morning he arrived and he got a welcoming commitee. He must of missed a traveller as now half of the town guard was standing at the gates with crossbows at the ready. Finally after minutes of waiting the captain gave the order: "UNLEASH HELL!" after that hundreds of bolts came flying towards Bandon of which he survived. This is going to be fun... thought Bandon to himself and with that he unleashed his fiery potential butchering the guards with no remorce...

Xu's mind started going into overdrive. As the giant turned to face him, he started to pass out - again. Images flashed in his mind. He was at the gates of a small town, and there is a large group of guards, and a shadowy figure stood facing them. His mind is alerted to danger like this.
Xu cut-off the images just before he passed out. The giant slammed one of his rocky arms into the ground, knocking Xu over. He had to help the travellers finish off the dragon quickly, so he could attempt to stop the carnage at the city. Xu was extremely tired at this point, barely able to stand. As the other of the giants arms came booming towards Xu, just in time did he jump out of the way. Thinking that Xu was unable to continue the fight, the giant turned to face the travellers once more...

Salvanar had completed the spell, and what he saw amazed him! Standing in front of him was an eight foot tall, furious looking elemental. It glowed blue, and the fury of storms encircled it. The monster had eyes of the purest white, and despite having no legs, he had two tremendous arms of pure energy. He was almost like a spectre, made from pure electrical energy. It spoke to him.

"He who beholds my true form, listen to my warnings. I am he, the great thunderlord, and I can be both the salvation of the world, and its destruction. You will embark on three quests, each one harder than the predecessor. I will judge you on your ability to perform these tasks, and should I be satisfied, I will leave the mortal realm, granting you freedom from your electrical burden. BUT, should you fail but one of these tasks, I will challenge you. Defeat me, you will be free, fail, and this world will be destroyed by my power! Just as my lightning gives way for life, it too will one day sunder the world, and reforge it in a way I see fit! You have one last chance to decline my services. Choose now."

Salvanar thought about the vile creature's threats, but decided against his better judgement. "I accpet your challenges, lord." The Thunderlord laughed in a slightly demonic tone, clapped his enormous hands, and started speaking in elemental. Salvanar could not make head nor tail of the language.

"Zalazar Izek Nakanaloth! Zalazar Izek Illikantho! Nog Zar Izeth Nlatar Klebrum! Ingos Llanther Halethor!" It clapped once more "Come, spirits! Rise, Rise and do the service you have been starved of for centuries! RISE!"

The ground shook as lightning elementals of all sizes burst out of the ground and welcomed Salvanar.

The Thunderlord looked at him. "You have three days...." and he was gone.

Tulak awoke from his dream when it turned into a nightmare a adventurer was just about to die, only then did he realise that it was a vision. Tulak got dressed within minutes and had dashed out of the inn. It was near the ice palace that he needed to go. Within minutes he was there thanks to his amulets and he saw the adventurer just dodging a ice giants arm. Tulak then came dashing down the hill, broadsword in hand and he jumped onto the giant's terrible back. He climed up onto the shoulders and carved a hole in it's neck, big enough for Tulak to jump in. And that he did. Now Tulak was cleaving away on the inside of the beast...

Salvanar dropped the book. The Thunder elementals tapped into his head and told him the three quests.

"First, you shall seek out a land of ice, where giants roam and creatures are free. You will use your power of lightning to burn down the most evil of their kind, an Ice Wyrm known as Vehhiroth."

Salvanar had heard of Vehirroth. It was technically just a myth, finding it would be hard.

"Second, you shall help a child in need. He goes by the name Chibhi, he is poor and crime is his only salvation. Show him the emotions of mercy and compassion in a world where he is treated with scorn and hate."

Salvanar definately didn't keep records of little children!

"Thirdly, find peace."

And the elementals were gone. "Find peace? What kind of quest is that, I say!" But salvanar could not argue. His duties lay ahead, and he had to do them. He set of for the only ice region he knew...where he met Nero.

Away from the mansion, the giant was still there. It had seen another traveller, and was trying to smash it to pieces! This was there chance. Kako flew up, with astonishing speed. She then, hovered for a moment, screeched louder than anything in Grennendia, then dived down at the monster, with a blue glow surrounding Kako.
The giant vapourized in an instant, rocks flying for miles in every direction. But it came with a cost.
Kako was dead.


She had used magic to kill it. Ryo had told Toro that when dragons new that something they were desperatly trying to kill where made out of pure magic, they'd give them selves up, use magic which only dragons new, and destroy the beast they were killing. Dragon magic though, was unlike magic known by Lorians, Humans or even some gods and kings; dragon magic was magic that would never fail, but something had to be given up-usally the caster.

But that ment that the giant was not natural. Only pure magical creatures came from the powerfulest of casters, most usally an elemental, god , king or emperor.
That also ment, that in the end, unless Toro and Ryo and the traveller attacked it without being killed for weeks; Kako would have to give herself up. Pure magical creatures can only be killed in such ways. Dedication and dragon arts where two of them.

These facts worried Ryo. Over the tiredness, coldness, sadness, he realised that these places where more dangerous than ever. It ment that more of these monsters were here. It ment that they were being followed. Someone more powerful then ever witnessed. Someone who wanted to start terror throughout all Grennendia.
Someone who new the secrets of the darkest spells ever known.

Xu was amazed. Now, all that was left from the giant was a pile of rubble and dust. He rushed over to the travellers. "What...How? ARE YOU OKAY?!"...

Tulak got up from the giant's corpse and stretched and then shouted to the others in a sarcastic manner "Don't worry, I am fine... Ow"

Xu turned to face him.
"Are you okay, too?!"

"Yes..ow. I am fine exept that a ice giant had just melted while I was in it. So, how are you?" Said Tulak showing that he indeed felt pain.

Toro was in a state of shock. It happened so sudden. It died so sudden. Kako did it so sudden.
Whereas Ryo was worse. He was extremly sad about Kako's death, but he knew what they were dealing with.
Suddenly he burst out, "This wasn't the only one."
Everybody looked shocked. And Toro almost felt like he was going to faint.
