Old storyline; locked

Back away from the commotion, Ryo and Toro were already way past Ralvras. They were beyond Selenis volcanoes. They were almost at the mountains. But why such a dangerous place?
That is what Toro asked and now he was terrified.
"Don't worry. We're heading for near the ice castle, perhaps we can train with creatures. The cold is the worst beast there!" Ryo quietly added without Toro hearing, "Usally..."
They were now past Graxnor, and were coming to a stop. Kako seemed to be very fast, and as they came closer they hovered over the mountains, and swooped down into the gorges.


Then..they saw..the battle...

Xu suddenly collapsed. He started to have a sort of "Dream". It is very cold, and a massive storm rages in the air, and arrows are flying. When he awakes, he knows this was no dream. He is tired from travelling, and teleporting to the volcano only tired him more. Still, he knew where he had to go. With all of his energy left, he summoned a dragon. Okay, it was a small, slim thing, but it could fly. He got on, and set off on his journey...

"What a lovely pet you have there," Salvanar remarked. "Don't worry, I feel we need carry this no further. I will not put your precious pet down."

He sheathed his staff, turned and walked away. He stopped part of the way through. "And admittedly, if you are willing to underestimate me, then i can say with honesty that I have underestimated you." He bows to Nero graciously, noble to noble. "Perhaps we might meet again, under more acceptable cicumstances."

Finishing this compliment, Salvanar left the pale man with the dragon.

Tulak was rather suprised how the man turned calm like that in a matter of minutes from ending the battle, but now he has to find a decent place to hide the sphere. Tulak looked for ages to find a suitable spot to place it and when he could not he sighed. He left the ice palace and shouted to the lorian. " Hey wait, dear chap! Who are you?" He asked the lorian Noble...

Nero straightened up. The Lorian had done something that very few people had ever done; he had surprised Nero.
He stood for some time, thinking. The ravens cawed, then flew away as the wyvern roared.
Then he climbed onto the wyvern, and began to fly off to the south. He had what he wanted; there had been an interesting side story, but it was of little consequence.
The wyvern roared once more.

Ryo and Toro looked over the edge. Kako was still with them, just as well. Just below was a giant storm of many elements. An orb of energy was also there, a half destroyed castle of ice, several people, a wyvern, a battle.
But then, suddenly, it stopped. The magic was still there, one of the men walked off. He looked to be a lorian, possibly on are side Toro thought. Toro went down, Kako and Ryo looking down at him, but too cold to react.
He looked at the people in amazment, trying to figure out what just happened?

Salvanar looked at his pursuer. "I am salvanar, lord of lightning. To whom might I be aqcuainted to on this day?"

Tulak replied quite calmly while his tattos went back to blue. " I am Tulak Nord, a veteran of the war. I served all through it and I am the only survivor of my battalion. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand to shake and at the same time, he turned to the other. " Who might you be then? And only a argument happened, that is all."

Toro was just standing there, looking dum and cold. He hadn't had a clue what had gone on, and was eager to find out. Just, who to ask? Who is safe?
Who is about to kill?

Salvanar looked at Tulak. "So, Friend, how is it you came upon this place? And who was that gaunt fellow I faced in the field of battle?"

"I came to this wonder to hide something. I cannot tell you what it was but that chap you fought was called Nero. Why did you come to this delightful spot then?" Replied Tulak. He loved making new friends and so he must be on his best behavour.

"I am but a traveller, as you will recognise in time. I go where my heart desires, and often it is deep into the heart of trouble. Somehow though, this adventure has proven different. Nero is not my enemy, as much as he may look it. I have been fooled by the external appearance of a man, it shall not happen again. You may be wondering how I know?"

Salvanar paused.

"My nemesis cannot link with nature. Because of Nero summoning his pet, I have realised my mistake. I have no problem admitting my failings. No, nero is not my nemesis."

Toro was listening too there conversation, hoping to be noticed. He had learnt a bit, but needed to learn more.

" Ah so that was just a little misunderstanding then was it? All well, just water under the bridge then eh? If you ever need a place to sleep feel free to come over to the heathrow passage. Here I shall draw a map for you. You will easily know the place as it stinks of rogue magic." Replied Tulak.

The wyvern settled on an island that was not drawn on most maps. It was beautiful, but in a dark way, and on the hill in the center of it was a small bunker made of black stone.
Or so it appeared.
Nero let his mind retract from the wyvern, and it instantly flew away, roaring in terror.
Nero walked to the door. There was a guard, who instantly recognised him and wouldn't have blocked his way for all the money in the world.
Though it was small, it did contain a staircase. Nero walked down it, into the gloom.

Cibhi was travelling.This wasn't unusual,ad he had packed all his worldly possessions into a bag,and had kept travelling for a couple of years now.But he had left Nendel earlier than intended,due to wanted posters with his face on them.He sighed.It had been harder lately.He had ran out of money,and had to steal things.
He looked towards the Norvairs.The storm at the northern tip from earlier had died down,and he was sure he had seen a dragon-like shape fly away from it...but weren't dragons just fairy storys told to make children behave?
He continued walking.Nothing made sense thse days.

Salvanar tapped Tulak on the shoulder. "You hospitality is appreciated, but unnecessary. I have myself a wonderful home back at Corbep." He said happily. "Perhaps you would be interested in going there sometime? My mansion surely has room for you, and your belongings."

" Ah! Wonderful, a mansion! I live in a cosy cave filled with nature's splendour. I don't have many possessions as I lost them all in the war. I shall come over one day but for now, I must go and rest my body in my lake. Farewell, if you ever need help, call me." Tulak was just about to leave when he noticed another listening in on them. "What do you want then dear friend?" He asked...

"oh...hi" Toro said, caught by surprise. "Um...I was just wandering here..with my uncle and his dragon" He pointed at the two. "And then I saw, this....happening." Wasn't sure at all what happened." He started not to be as shy. " I don't know what just happened...but I think this won't be forgotten easily. I mean, look at the state of the castle!" He pointed to the shattered pile of ice, with a few ramparts left standing. "How can all of you act so causally when that guy with the wyvern almost killed you two! And also, the state of the castle is probably unfixable even with a lot of magic. This would probably be heard all over Grennendia..." He stopped and waited Tulak to answer.

"Well, he did'nt even attack me and I would most likely shift before I die. All well, the palace was of no use to anyone now was it? Besides what are you doing here? Oh and do not be put off by my scars." Replied Tulak.

"I was just wondering...looking for something to happen. Back in the forest, nothing is happening..so boring." Toro used magic to teleport him up to were Ryo and Kako were. "I'm off to find something to kill. See you around." He went off to find an icy beast, with a freezing Ryo, and a happy Kako following.

After the little talk with Salvanar and the stranger with a dragon, Tulak decided that he would spend the weekend in Nendel and so he left for it immediatly. On his way he got ambushed 3 times each time the bandits were not efficiently prepared and were to easy to dispatch. Other then those weak bandits the walk was uneventful. Tulak thought to himself that he should buy a horse for these journeys. On the road he met a youngster dressed in red with rubies on his headband. " Hey, child! Be careful out here. It can be very dangerous!" Tulak shouted to the boy in a rather merry tone...

"I can take care of myself."Said Cibhi."Fire magic can be a useful tool.Also,I would be careful in this area.Apparently there's a thief walking round stealing food."He sat down,and took his bag off his back."So,what brings you to this end of the country?I highly doubt it's just for sights.Although I've heard some of them are amazing."

"Actually I did come for the sights, I am tired and thought that I needed a holiday, so here I am." Have you got any parents dear boy?" Said Tulak concerned.
