Different Races

In Grennendia, any character you make (As long as it isnt banned by the RPs rules) can be any SENTIENT race.
These are, currently-

Humans
I'm sure you all know these. they dominate the majority of Grennendia, and there a few cities except the capitals of the other races that have no or almost no humans in.

Dwarves
Perhaps only half the size of a human, but stocky and strong with it. They usually live in their Halls in the Mountains, and are brilliant with rock and mining. They are often skilled with mechanisms as well.

Norn
These big people are physically extremely strong, and make superb close combat fighters. They are taller then most humans, about 7 feet and some closer to 8, with pale skin. They live in mountains, but unlike dwarves, live in wooden structures out in the wild and cold.They are, however, almost totally incapable of magic. The only exception are the Flameseers. These are like shamans, and are powerful in the art of soothsaying, and Empathy. they do not, however, practice combat magic. they tend to become to leaders, or well respected among norn, and a flameseer is always in charge of the fortress of Malanis.

Lorians
A Lorian may be short, but are both intelligent and excellent mages. They are also very skilled in combining magic with science. They live in the southern forest, deep in the heart of the trees. Because of their stature and physical weakness, few are any good in close combat.

Deva
Humanoid, average height, with wings. The wings change from Deva to Deva, like eyes. Some are feathered, others leathery. The Deva's skin is leathery as well- it looks almost normal, but feels like a bat's. They have no iris. THEY DO NOT HAVE HORNS, OR HOOVES, or anything else very demon-ish. They are equally good in both swordsmanship and magic, and are fast and agile- but have poor sight. They have no sense of smell, but fantastic hearing. They also cannot stand cold- it slows them down, makes them stupid. they live in the wastelands in the north of Grennendia.

The Dorig
Humanoid, underwater race. They look human, but are taller, and have scales. Physically, they are stronger then humans, their muscles strengthened for swimming. Their scales act as armour roughly equivalent in quality to normal guard- low grade iron. Their entire civilisations are always underwater, but they have some outposts on land.
Their mages are unique- they have very different magic to most. They are more like shamans, dealing in ritual and spiritism then normal magic. They are far more powerful enchanters, warders, etc. Spells that last a long time, but much less effective in combat. They are neutral, but the majority of their race holds a grudge against humanity, for a hundreds of years ago humanity hunted them. They have only recently begun to travel on land again.

Pray, there will be more?

Possibly, as the storyline/ knowledge of grennendia grows, then there may be.
Much of Grennendia is not known about, still. Perhaps new races will be there.

Mmm....

Yes, as long as they aren't nything major. No uber powerful ones, or sentient races, or things like that.

The Dorig. Underwater race. Indeedy.

Please do, we have too many human chars. The only non human ones are Cibhi, who's a Lorian, and Heiwa, who's a Norn.

Besides, I tried a Deva. It didnt work out too good did it?

You killed him off fairly quickly, as far as I remember.
I was thinking of making a Grennendian RP where you HAVE to be a non-human. Perhaps before humans arrived and the Lorians were fighting the Norn.

i killed him off cos he was a poor character. Besides, he would have had to be stupid cos it is not as hot as it is up in the deserts.

I promise that my next char (If I ever make one) will not be human and it will be female. How is that?

He wouldn't have to be stupid...That would only apply if they were based on an entirely different element.
Besides who cares IT'S A BLOODY FANATASY RP. Science does not always apply.

It HAS to be one of the listed ones....
Your char seems to be werewolf, which is not listed. Therefore, not allowed.
Human with wolfish charicteristics is fine, so hair like a wolf, fingernails like claws, longer canines, a wolfish type mind. But other then that, no.

Is werewolf or whatever your character is listed? No.
So you cannot be it. Yes I think people should use other races THAT ARE LISTED.

Well, Werewolf IS technically a disease. So is Vampirism. You k'now Porphyric Hemophilia (think it's spelt right.)
But yeah. Also Red wolf? C'mon! That would just be silly...

if you want to sci-fi it up a bit i've got a race.

CORES(or you can make up a name)

these creatures, were uncovered from meteors, they are round gems(most gems do including alien gems) with this odd energy.
They have the power to carve bodies from metal or wood, to place themselves in, some fear them, some are fascinated by them.
They can speak the basic Grennendia langauge and there own undiciphered langauge.

Even I say Nadda to that! If it's OP to resurrect someone, then a Daemon will be like bloody Jesus! I say Niet to that.

I'm against demons because A, they nearly always end up OP, and also I think they will just take over the whole RP.
And that race sounds interesting, but it's not really fitting Grennendia. You could use it in an RP of your own in Other RP's, though.
And let's just leave it to Heiwa to resolve the matter of Werewolf. He's the GM, after all.
